Just wanted to come on here to get something off my chest really.......
My dear M&D have taken my 2 girls away for a few days (they always look after them for me in the school holidays). They only went yesterday. My Dad is retired but does a few gardening jobs to get a bit of extra cash.
I had a call this morning from their neighbour telling me that my Dad's garage had been broken into and a mower worth about £900 had been stolen. I know it's not the end of the world and obviously, if they'd got into the house it would have been a lot worse but it worries me because I think someone must have been watching the house to know that there was no-one there last night. The daft thing is they left another mower, some strimmers and a chain saw - seems the mower they did take was stolen to order!
It's just all the hassle that goes with it. Fortunately my parents have got very good neighbours who are tidying it all up and making it safe and I'll pop back over this evening just to check on things. I've reported it to the police and I know there's nothing else I can do now. I just feel sorry for my poor Dad whos' now going to have all the hassle of sorting out the insurance claim and getting a new mower etc etc. I bet he'll spend the rest of the holiday worrying about it, too.
