not a fan of fast pass plus

No one has said.it would be typical during low crowd times :confused3.

Crowd levels of 8 are on par with spring breaks and other holidays between now and summer...that is where people are concerned.

Even most "fp+ detractors" have said that low crowd times (when you rarely needed.fp-) aren't going to be affected by all of this the same way.

That post was for the benefit of people who have trips planned in the next few weeks who are being spooked by the reports from last weekend.

Longer visible lines and guests who have used up their 3 FP's who are then wandering around the park wondering what to do next can make a park 'feel' more crowded.

How hard is it to schedule your 3 FPs and then look at a park map the night before and see what other rides are nearby to go to in between? That's what I'm doing and I'm not going to wander around aimlessly.

Awesome. Good for you :thumbsup2

Wow, this is unbelieveable. People having to wait in a line to buy tickets, then wait in ANOTHER line to get their fastpasses. Why don't they do away with one of these lines by just giving them a ticket booklet when they buy their ticket to get in.....it could be pre-tiered, maybe by having the minor rides labeled A and the headliners labeled E. Oh wait! Isn't that how they did it in 1973? Should we take a giant step back into.the past to solve this problem? Any ideas?

Excellent point!

OK, there's a big prize (or at least a big thumbs up smilie) for the first person to find out how they are handling FP+ for the BTGs! I'm really curious. The system seems to not handle big groups very well.

Last week we arrived at Toy Story Mania for out FP+ just after a BTG got there. Their leader was handing them their paper FPs as they entered. It was a bazillian Brazilians! All ahead of us. We got to the second checkpoint after you get your glasses, and when we got to the gate on the right the CM opened it and let us pass everybody ahead of us. That happened all 3 times we rode! Love FP+!

A bazillion Brazilians! :lmao:

I'm actually hoping to figure out how they manage to coordinate their big groups with paper FP's gone.

well now I am terrified to go tomorrow. We have been so spoiled with no lines in January. Last year though it was PACKED! I am praying it is slower!

Pop back on here and give us some reviews, maybe it wont be too busy and the lower crowds will make things alright ?

This thread has me about ready to change my flight in so we get there WAY early (pulling the kids out of school an extra day) and can enjoy another day there just in case. I know the crowds are going to be crazy on Saturday & Sunday - the weekend before President's Day.

I don't understand what your experience has to do with FP+ ???? The fact that the CM let you in infront of them ? :confused3

I really would just love to sit down and chat to all the people responsible just to see what they were thinking.
ANNOUNCING:
The newest Specialty Dining Opportunity....Lunch with an Imaginexec. You get to spend your whole dining experience trying to understand what they've been thinking. Only drawback is that you have to use one of your FP+ "entitlements":rolleyes1

I know this is completely crappy....so I'm going with no expectations and I'm hoping to just go stand by for what we wish to ride...at rope drop for headliners ...when the ride times get over 30-45 mins I'll find a fp machine if I come across one and see what's left. I have no plans to look at MDE since we're offsite anyways. I can't let this get me down. It is my kids first trip... we will have fun.

Yes, you WILL have fun - no doubt about it. It's your attitude alone that will make the trip special for your kids, and you as well. Not only that, I have no doubt that there will be TONS of pixie dust spread all over you because you have the right attitude.
It's not Kool Aid, you're not a Disney Apologist nor are you a Fanboy. IMHO Enjoying your Disney (or other) vacation is 70% attitude, 10% aptitude, and 20% luck. The odds are overwhelmingly in your favor and you haven't even left home. ENJOY!
