Not a disney question, but please help with a New York question!!!

You have all been so helpful on this board and I noticed some New York questions from some of us who always go to Disney, but are going somewhere different just for this time. Flying into Laguardia on Easter total of 5 people. What type of transportation to take from airport to Marriott Marquis. I believe cabs only hold 4. Any companies you know of for van or limo service that you have used before and know are reputable. Thanks

We were at NYC this January and took a cab and we were 5(2adults 1junior and 2 kids 9and 11)There were no problem.I love NYC!

We took a van shuttle (SuperShuttle Manhatten) from Newark, NJ to our hotel downtown (it would easily hold 10 or more people.) It was quick, I think it was $15 per person (can't remember for sure) but it took us to our hotel's front steps (Bledvere) & our friend's hotel (the M. Marquis.) Then you just call them the night before you are ready to be picked up and let them know you want a return ride as well. They were on time, safe and friendly. I would highly recommended that if you wanted to be dropped off directly at your hotel.

How did you all fit in a cab? Was it a car or a van. Any idea of approx cost? Or there different car and van services waiting at the airport?

Of course, you can be adventurous. Take the Triboro Coach Q19B Bus to the subway station at 74th Street and Roosevelt Avenue. Then take the Flushing IRT #7 Line to Times Square. It lets you off a couple of blocks from the Marquis.

Hi! Glad to see you are coming to visit the Big Apple! You will have tons of fun! As for your cab question I would suggest you look in the phone book or online (I like www.verizonsuperpages.com) and type in something like 'airport taxi' or 'taxi' in either queens, ny or astoria, ny (thats where laquardia is located) and call the company and reserve a van to pick you up at the airport. Sometimes NYC Taxi's have vans but its a gamble if they will be at the airport. That's my suggestion, hope it helps!

I just flew out of LGA yesterday! I miss NYC already. Sigh...

My friend uses the Super Shuttle all the time and loves them (they are the blue vans). Give them a call and make a reservation.

Too bad you arent flying into JFK - you could take the Air Train! SOOOO easy!

You could try Ollie's Airport service. They are pretty reliable, I have used them going to the airport many times.

One other thing, ALOT of these cab companies try to rip off tourists, the 'usual' price is around $35 plus tolls (give or take a few dollars) to go from the airport to Manhattan. If you have 5 people they may charge extra for the fifth person. Go with your gut, if the price seems too high it probably is. Have a great trip in NYC!

Ollies is reliable, We always use them to go to airport!!!
