Nory Report III: In the Third Person! After 3 Years, the Final Update! NEW 2/6

I've been waiting forever for an update. But I know (believe me, I know) how impossible it is to write when you have a demanding little one in the home. And then you throw a teething little one, and it's a wonder you have time to go online at all.

Thanks for throwing us a bone. Hopefully you can finish this bad boy before summer?

Poor Simba - 4 teeth! Yikes!
One emerged last week, two popped through last night, and one looks like it'll appear in the next day or two...I'm hoping we get a little break from teeth (and maybe a little more sleep!) after that!

Cheesy yet satisfying. I haven't missed it yet on a trip.

:( But glad you were able to tag the "for now" on there.
Yes, little did I realize I'd be back something like 8 times over the next two years!

It really is amazing, how hard it is to jump online for even a few minutes. Of course, the second he sees me look at a computer or a phone, he WANTS IT. Desperately. Tears will follow. And then, sure, a nap comes along, and I could get on my computer...or I could do the dishes (no). Or nap (yes). Or zone out in front of Downton Abby (yes).

Thanks for throwing us a bone. Hopefully you can finish this bad boy before summer?
I think I will finish it RIGHT NOW, actually! Really truly!

Nory jumped on the monorail to the TTC, thinking she’d enjoy the opportunity to walk through the grounds of the Polynesian one last time before she had to go.

As she ambled past the tiki gods, the calming beaches, and the lush greenery, she realized that she had discovered her new favorite resort.

Staying at the Poly had been like living in a dream, and she hoped she could stay there again, someday.

Finally Nory had to face facts: It was time to get her things and wait for the shuttle back to the airport. She had just enough time to stop in the gift shop at the Great Ceremonial House and have a Mickey pirate ship shipped to her niece in Colorado, before she retrieved her bags and sat outside, waiting.

Not, unfortunately, Nory’s transportation.

And suddenly, she was excited to get home. She had a lot of work to do.

THE END

Great TR...thanks for sharing! Loved the third person narrative! It made it an easy and enjoyable read! I would love to read more TRs like that!

Sorry to see this come to a close. Thanks for posting a Nory picture at the end.

I love those monorail pictures and all the final pictures from the Poly are just gorgeous.

I hope you will consider doing another TR soon!

Ahhhh, so good to leave a park feeling satisfied you have done what you came to do and have done it.

The Poly - I love the pictures and am a bit sad it doesn't look like that anymore but I am hoping for some new beautiful views as construction finishes up. I am saving to buy DVC at the Poly and I am anxious to see the finished product.

What a great ending and I hope to read more soon. I hope you get some sleep and things ease up a bit. :)

I have to admit, I look pretty much nothing like that picture anymore!

I definitely plan on another TR -- 10 trips in one -- but you know me, it'll probably take another 10 years! :rotfl:

I'm really sad, too, that the Poly is changing so much, especially because I probably won't be buying DVC there (never say never, though, right?). My favorite area of it really was that beach in front of Tahiti, which is gone, now. :worried: My peaceful hammock is no more.

No, it's can't be time to face facts! Say it ain't so!

Wait, does this mean that I now have a shot at the longest-running in-progress TR? Hmmmmm. :scratchin

So cool that Castle Suite guests have their own designated transportation. :snooty:

Thanks for the trip report Nory! And I'm looking forward to the book! :hyper:

I'm always to see people's TR's come to an end, but yours especially. :(

I loved your last day at the MK and your final tour of the Poly (and definitely can see how it became your favorite; if it weren't for the price tag, it would be our favorite too).

I thoroughly enjoyed and thank you for writing.

Great wrap up Nory!

Loved the TR. And how tempting was it to break into that car and sit in the back seat like you belonged there?
