I made a point to get a snack at Norway because so many people raved about the school bread-I never had it before-OMG!!! It was soooo good! Thanks to everyone who ever brought it up in the weeks leading up to my trip!:rotfl2: Any trip I take to Disney in the future will never be complete without this treat from now on!

I keep seeing pictures of it on the "post your food pictures" thread but I have no idea what it is. It looks yummy but it looks like there is coconut on the top. Is it? If so, I definitely wont be trying that one. I hate coconut :scared:

Yes, there is coconut on top-which I love! Inside is like this creamy-but not sickening sweet filling, and the bread part-is like a sweet dinner roll. mmmm :cloud9:

My DW and I shared this treat on our trip in December and we really enjoyed it. We had heard about it for many years, but this was the first time we made it a point to try it. The custard filling is excellent as is the coconut and icing on top. We will have to get it again next time, but I still like the Napoleon at Patisserie at "France" better. ;)

DH and I tried it in December after hearing about it here. It was wonderful!!!! :thumbsup2 We shared it and a cup of coffee one evening! He is not a big fan of coconut (thought I would get most of it to myself :rotfl: ) but even he loved it!! It is a must for our next trip!!!!!

Kringla has other good sweets, too! My ds really wanted the berry tart, which was great. And we tried a chocolate layer cake, which was good, too. All of these (the two I mentioned and the school bread) were DDP snack credits.

We shared all three while waiting in the standby line for the Candlelight Processional. I'm glad my Mom-instinct prompted me to pick up some extra napkins at Kringla: this was messy but yummy.

And don't forget the rice cream! Surprisingly good. I would not have tried it but it came on a dessert platter at Akershus, and now I would have a hard time passing it up, even for the other treats at Kringla. I guess "one of each" is the only solution!:rotfl:

You absolutely read my mind. We just got back and I am a big coconut freak and wow, is this good! I can't believe I've never seen it before.

This will be a must-have on all future trips through Norway.

School bread is great. I always get something from the Kringla bakery when at Epcot. :p

I'm also a big fan of rice cream. It and a Dole float are my two can't miss treats when visiting WDW.

"One of each" is a great solution for the problem of what to order at Kringla!

Is the rice cream different from rice pudding?

I tried it this past December after reading about it on the boards.. all I can say is Wow, that was yummy and very shareable....quite large.

I just wish you could get them for breakfast when entering the park. We are always so full once we start eating lunch, and well then there is dinner. We usually try to eat them once on a two week trip. Although, this past August I don't think we got to eat them.

They are so yummy!

I had 4 of them on my lst trip and could not get enough, I also got DH hooked on them as well! They are my most favorite snack!!!

I LOVE the school bread in Norway. Their sweet pretzel with Almonds is pretty good too.

As it often happens when we walk through Norway in the World Showcase, we are already full by the time we get there. No problem! They will put your schoolbread into a to-go container for you to enjoy later. I put it in the room fridge and eat it for breakfast.

There's nothing like listening to your own arteries harden while drinking pseudo-coffee from a refillable mug you bought on a previous trip and stuffing your face with cold yummy schoolbread before hitting up a waterpark...

The phone is ringing... it's probably Robin Leach...

:rotfl2:

OK...I think it is posts like these that are making my thighs dimply! Now I have to add a new snack to my list.
