Has anyone ever had the Chicken Salad Sandwich from the Kringla Bakeri og Cafe in World Showcase? I really enjoy chicken salad, and this sounds like the perfect thing to have and take with us to sit and eat while we wait for Illuminations to start. Does anyone have an opinion? PLEASE! :)

Unfortunately, I am one of those people who find that not all chicken salad is created equal. There are some that I like and some I dislike. I say you can bite the bullet and buy one. You won't know until you try it for yourself.

Definitely agree with Briar Rosie. Either I like a certain kind of chicken salad, or I don't like it at all... there doesn't seem to be an in-between for me with this particular food item!

That said, might I recommend visiting the bakery during the day at some point, perhaps for their schoolbread (okay, not spectacular, but interesting novelty) or some other pastry? One of my best WDW memories is sitting in the outdoor dining area with tiny brown birds all around. One of them jumped into my hand to get a small shred of coconut that I held out to it. :goodvibes: I just can't tell you how much I loved that moment! It's a nice place to watch people passing by, as well.

I hope someone comes along who is able to answer your question about their chicken salad. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

We were there last week and they didn't have a chicken salad sandwich. I particularly asked about it b/c it was listed on my iphone WDW app. DH and I had the ham/apple sandwich, and one of my boys had the roast beef sandwich. They were fantastic as was the vegetable bisque soup.

I did not have the chicken salad, but I did have the black forest ham and it was very good. The bread was also very good.
The desserts and coffee were also very good. They are one of the few places that grind their own beans for coffee.

I would assume the chicken salad is nice, but as others have said you will probably need to try it yourself.

The sandwiches are premade, so at least you can take a look at it before you buy.

We stopped in for a snack and found everything lovely and yummy. The almond pretzel is HUGE and fabulous. We meant to get back for lunch and didn't make it this trip but it is now a "must do" on our list for next time. I'm anxious to hear what you think of the chicken salad. popcorn::

We love the sandwiches at Kringla and eat there every trip, although we have never had the chicken salad. The soups are good as well and you can't go wrong with the pastries for dessert especially the School Bread, although it isn't as big as it used to be.:sad2:

I had the club sandwich when I went. Don't expect anything to taste Americanized or familiar. That's all I can say really. My palette isn't really mature enough lol

We loved the Norwegian club and the open faced salmon sandwich. This is one of favorite lunch locations it only cost us $10-15.

The open face Salmon sandwich is pure HEAVEN! :lmao:
