Has anyone seen Ariel there lately? During B, L or D? What did your children think of the lunch and dinner dining options?

Thanks!

We were there 2 years ago for breakfast and we did not see Aeriel. We saw Belle in her golden gown taking pictures, then SB, SW, Jasmine (older DDs favorite Princess), and Mulan came around our table. We are going again for Breakfast during our March trip and we would LOVE to see Aeriel in her gown since she is my youngest DDs favorite princess.

We loved the breakfast selection, a little afraid of the L and D selections however. It is becoming a Must-Do for our trips....my DH won't ever admit this, but he thinks it is one of the best Character meals in WDW.

Can someone please verify for me the price of the breakfast? On Dis it says $22.99 but on Allears $28.99. Which one is right? I am so confused.

We had dinner there at Akershus in May 2006 and Ariel was the "star" princess.
The only princess missing that night was Snow White so we just told our DH that one of the dwarves was sick and she taking care of him.:)

I believe allears. I wrote to them and Gloria wrote back to me after she "just finished talking" with Disney Dining to confirm the new pricing.

Were the new prices just for the "holiday" pricing or new and improved prices?

I am having a hard time paying $$$, even on the dining plan, for my daughter to eat a hot dog for dinner! However, if there has been an Ariel sighting for dinner, that could be worth it, especially if Mary Poppins, Mulan and Jasmine are also there! Oh, the trials and tribulations of princess meals!!

Thanks for the info everyone.

We got SO lucky - were there for breakfast last week and HAD ARIEL! I was so excited, but that was until my DD2 (who wouldn't sit in a high chair) fell on her head right before meeting any of the princesses. Totally her fault. At least now she will sit in a high chair. We had picture with Belle, then Ariel, SB, Mulan, and SW.

Oh, just new and improved! :)
You'll still have to add on the surcharges. I'm kind of wishing we were on the DP now! But we plan to eat cheaply and offsite some, so I think we're still doing the right thing. At least delaying the $ pain a while.

We'll be there April 2 for breakfast. How does the photo session work? When/where do you pick up the pics? Is the photo one per table or one per kid?

Thanks.

Ariel was there for our dinner in September 08.

As for the pictures- I think it's one per party, and they bring them to you at your table before you go in a nice folder.

We were there for lunch in December and saw Ariel, along with Cinderella, Jasmine and Alice. Belle was in the lobby in her yellow dress for the picture.

Forgot to answer your 2nd question. My DD (not quite 3) had the grilled chicken off the children's menu for lunch. She thought it was good and ate almost all of it along with the potatoes and corn that came with it. It was a great healthy break from the fried chicken tenders every other place seemed to have. The other lunch choices for kids were Grilled Salmon, Cheese Ravioli, Pasta and Meatballs, Hot Dog, Cheese Pizza, and Viking Turkey & Cheese Roll Up.

They take your picture as you are walking in to be seated (Ours was with Belle) Then during your meal, they bring the picture to you. It's one per table, unless you have 5 or more people. We were a party of 5 and got 2 sets of pictures. 8X10, 5X7 and wallets.

Breakfast a few weeks ago included Belle for the photo, then Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Snow White, and Mary Poppins! We were so pleased that Mary was there...

DD loved this meal!

We are eating Dinner at Ankerhus in March. I have 3 boys (7, 4 and 18 months) so is it only Princesses? They enjoy the 'princess'-eque movies so I figured they would know them. They love the character meals and my now 4, then 3 yr old loved the princesses last year.

Anyway, Mommy and her BFF Chris are girls so we get to go to at least one Princess meal!! princess:

This will be my submerging into Girlie-ness as we have no pink in this house!

DD and I are going and meeting our friend and her DD. No offense, but if I'm paying 58.00 for breakfaast for me and DD, I want my own durn picture!

Yes, it is only the Princesses, but they are FABULOUS with boys!! We ate there last year for my then 4 year old daughter and my then 2 1/2 year old son and it was great. We saw Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Mary Poppins and Aurora. They all made a big deal about their "little prince" and how glad they were to see him. Also, the setting is wonderful and there are all kinds of swords and things for the boys to look at. The servers are all from Norway and the men also talked "guy stuff" with my son. I think that your 3 sons should enjoy it without having to worry about them being overwhelmed with "princess" and you and BFF will get your girly meal, too!

Hope you have a magical trip! pixiedust:

We just ate dinner at Akershus 2 weeks ago. DS (5) and DD (2 1/2) really enjoyed it. Both of them had ravioli and meatballs, and ate every bite. The picture was with Belle. Jasmine, Ariel and Sleeping Beauty all came to our table. All of the princess were wonderful! They were not rushed and let my daughter ooh and aah over them for quite a while. I was very happy with the character interaction! It was my son's 5th birthday, and they all signed a birthday card for him. It was very sweet.

What a fantastic idea bringing a birthday card for them to sign! It will be just after our little girl turns 2 and that would be a great souviner. Thanks for sharing that
