How is it? How was the food? Is it family style? I have heard its both family style and "pre-plated" whatever that means, it doesn't sound good though

Pre-plated just means it is already on your plate, like most other TS restaurants, neither buffet or family style, the same as CRT is served. I think the food is good for the most part, we are going next week based on good reviews.

Fresh Seasonal Fruit
Bacon
Sausage
Scrambled Eggs
Potato Casserole
Biscuits
Cinnamon Rolls

When we were there in Nov the servers came out with the fresh hot foods on one large family plate (eggs, sausage, bacon, potato stuff, etc), then they had a bunch of yummy looking pastries on a buffett line with fresh fruit and muffins. What I could eat was very yummy and the kids enjoyed everything mommy couldn't eat.

We were just there for breakfast and I thought it was pretty good. Maybe not worth $34/adult or whatever it is, but geez, you get the photo! :lmao:

Anyway, it is part TS and part buffet. They have cold things and breads/pastries on a buffet line. Your server then brings the hot items (eggs, a yummy potato/cheese thing, bacon, sausage) to your table on a family style plate and you serve yourself from there. You can ask for more if you run out.

IMHO its great, u sit and relax in nice air cond, while u eat decent food and have your kids smile ear to ear-and make amazing memories with a "princess'".

We love it - and eat b-fest there a few times a year. I love the food, bacon, sausages, scram egg, amazing potatoes and some small pastries, croissants and jelly, coffee, juices, yum
expensive yes, but the memories and photo ops are priceless.

try it once:surfweb:

I've had breakfast here several times and it was yummy! Dinner I've tried once. It was okay. (I had a chicken and pasta) The only thing I did not care for was the rice cream. The pasta was pretty good. You had a choice of chicken or something else? I don't remember. The kids loved their food. DH loved the cold table. They had a lot of food up there if you like that kind of thing. I LOVE Princess Storybook and we go a lot but only Breakfast now. No more Dinner! princess:

The interaction from the Princesses is just fine too. You meet one in a fancy dress when you start in (we've had Belle a lot and Ariel) then like 4-5 more come around to the tables. They vary. We've seen Cinderella, Mulan, Aurora, Mary Poppins, Belle in her blue dress, & Snow White. I feel as if I am missing someone but you get the idea. ;)

We took our 2 nieces to this and they had the best time ever. The food was very good and DH had to eat 2 platters of food so he could get his money's worth since the kids barely ate 2 bites.

I would go again with kids but not for just the 2 of us, DH blushes too easily when the Princess's flirt with him :rotfl2:

We really enjoyed this breakfast. The cold foods were buffet style and were mainly meats, cheeses and fruits along with some breads. They bring out the eggs, sausage, bacon and potatoes on a platter and you take what you want. They will bring more without any delay.

we had OJ and coffee and the kids had milk and OJ to drink.

Good interaction with the characters. If you have kids that like the princesses, don't hesitate to eat here, especially on the dining plan because it is only one credit. This is one place we will not miss next summer!

If you are going for the food experience don't go, I go because I enjoy having my kids have time with the princess', the food is secondary, not bad but certainly I have had better.

I am not concerned about the food as much as what the heck "pre-plated" is. Do I get enough?

They bring out a large family-style plate of the hot food - eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes. And they will bring you more of whatever you ask for. We shared the first platter and asked for more bacon and potatoes, for example - and they were happy to bring more of whatever we asked for. So - it's like a buffet where you don't have to get up and get your own food!

Breakfast is all you can eat. (Served "family style" on one huge platter) If you go through one platter they bring you another. Plus you can eat all the pastries, fruit, etc off the buffet you'd like.

At Lunch and Dinner you get a pre plated meal. Choose what you want from the menu and it's brought to the table. It's an average sized portion. You also get the cold buffet. Meats, Cheese, etc and the buffet part is all you want to eat!

At dinner the pasta had me stuffed. I don't think I finished it all. I can't imagine one leaving that place hungry. ;)

DH and I will miss the bagel and lox breakfast sandwiches we get at MGM with CS. We are doing the deluxe plan, so we have chosen mostly character TS breakfasts for DD5. Hoping this one will have lox and herring.
