My DH wants to eat at the CS in Mexico (which I don't like that much). I was looking at the menu for the CS place in Norway (just up the road :) ) and the lunch "deal" with a sandwich, soup and dessert sounds really good.

Has anyone ordered this as a CS meal ujnder the DDP? Was it good :thumbsup2

Here's the description from allearsnet

Kringla Daily Chef's Selection - Your choice of open-faced sandwich with a cup of Jarlsberg and Leek cheese soup, accompanied by your choice of rice cream, veiled maiden or no sugar added chocolate mousse $9.99

ohhh that does sound good! :thumbsup2

I would be interesting in knowing this too.

Ohhhhh, we love Kringla!!!!! I mean love it! The sandwiches are great, very fresh. The soup is yummy, great on a winter day. And rice cream?! It's a can't miss for us. We have eaten enough rice cream to make ourselves nauseous! It's easy to do--it's rich! Kringla is well worth a stop for a meal, just dessert, a snack--any reason.

I had done a search a week or two ago regarding Norway Counter Service & reviews were virtually all :thumbsup2 . Like you, it just sounds so different & good. < yummy soup / cool sandwich / sweet ethnic dessert >.

I'm thinking that 2 of those "lunch specials" & 1 of those sweet pretzels or school breads (so basically 2 CS credits & 1 snack credit) could fill up 2 moderate adult eaters & a 7 year old. Am I thinking correctly?

I also noticed there is a place to sit comfortably eat there. Is this correct?

I have absolutly no idea about the seating, but it sounds like that would be plenty of delicious Norweigan grub :)

Just outside the exit door is a covered pavillion area with tables & chairs...a greta place to get out of the sun while you eat.

Thanks NJ Ziggy. :thumbsup2

& Bekkiz...Norwegian Grub. :cool1:

I'm in.

Hound. :smooth:

The soup and sandwich are AMAZING! Soooooo good! I had them in the restaurant. They better be on CS for the DP because that is where I am going for lunch one day!
