almond pretzel

not a typical pretzel. It is like soft raisin bread with a light vanilla frosting and of course almonds. :cloud9: WOW!!!

THAT IS MY FAVORITE!!! I get it every time we go!!! I am actually so looking forward to one....... :earboy2:

That is all I have ever tried - it all looks so yummy & I need to give something else a try, too!! That school bread sounds delicious! I think on my next trip I will just go in and buy a variety of goodies and have a bite of each. :cloud9:

I have never been crazy about the French bakery - too heavy and rich. I LOVE the Norway bakery!

Enjoy!

I bought pastries there one night earlier this month for breakfast the next day. Well, of course I had to sample a bit to make sure they were fit for my family! The schoolbread was to die for. My sample turned into eating half of it that night. I heard DH rattling around in the kitchen later on (to get a drink of water my foot) and that was the end of that schoolbread! The next morning my 9 year old daughter asked me where's the thing with coconut on it? DH and I just took the 5th. ;)

I would like to try the schoolbread that everyone raves about, but I can't seem to get past the pretzels with almonds. I have 215 days until I can get one!! My DS (16) loves the berry tarts. He won't be making this next trip with us, and I wish I could think of a way to bring him home one (I think they have some kind of pudding in them).

How do you pronounce lefse? I want to try it, but like to know what I am saying - this southern twang sometimes makes it hard on me. :)

We always stop here before Illuminations and get a couple of cherry danish and coffee, then grab a good place to watch. I will have to try the other things mentioned here now. Just what I need more food. ;) Linda

My in-laws say LEFF-suh. My MIL sends us some every Christmas. The kids like it, but I have not developed a taste for it.

Both are excellent. I can't pass Norway without getting them...thanks for info about the other offerings. I'll try to branch out next time.

The school bread is tasty but huge! The three of us split it and even then it was plenty for each.
:woohoo:
