I got MSP to MCO yesterday for $200!! I was so excited to see that fare as the fare had been sitting at $260 for the past few weeks.

For us Michigan flyers, DTW has been running sales along with LAN strangly enough, to Florida the past few weeks or so....

Oh sure, now that DS doesn't live in Lansing anymore, NW has sales out of LAN, LOL!

herc.

I live in East Lansing and fly out of Lansing whenever possible. I haven't seen any NW sales from LAN to MCO. Last month, in fact, we flew Allegiant into Sanford because it was so much less expensive than the majors.

Hi sandi,

DS lived in East Lansing, too on Michingan Ave. We paid really big bucks for him to fly on NW out of Lansing. It' as bad as here trying to get decent fares.

You think Lansing's bad, try flying out of Grand Rapids - astronomical!

We already have our tickets flying out of Detroit but I think I saw somewhere Dis'er's were getting good rates out of Flint - might be worth a search!

If only I could book these rates for our surprise January trip! Does anyone know if they typically run specials from DTW or nearby to MCO in January? Thanks!

I've been out of town the last couple of days....did the FAs settle the contract with NWA? Wonder if the cheap fares are tied into them getting people ON the planes???

The NW Flight Attendants have not settled yet. Due to the terrorism threat last week, they moved the strike date to August 25th.

Stay tuned...

DING DING DING, we have a winner!! :thumbsup2 Most likely your partly right on. The NWA flights I want are now down to $260, A $100 Less then last week. Now I need to decide do I take that price right now, or wait a little. Hmmmmmm.

We've actually driven to Grand Rapids for better fares in the past -- but, you're right, GR has been bad the last couple of years. I sent my folks, who live in Mt. Pleasant, out of Flint to florida last winter. NW and Airtran even have a direct flights.
