Northwest dropped my April flight and booked me on a Delta flight. :dance3:
Lucky for me it's the same times and non-stop flight I originally booked.:banana::banana:
Unlike the original Northwest flight I now have reserved seats on Delta. :lmao::rotfl:
If you booked with Northwest or Delta Check your flights. :worship::woohoo::yay:popcorn::
Good Luck All,
Joe

Thanks for the heads up.
Northwest dropped our Oct. flight out of Orlando to Minneapolis.

Well, that is good news. I had originally purchased my flight in February through Delta.
I constantly chekc our seats (as we are flying with three children).
Two months ago, they switched us to a Northwest flight- no big deal same times/ no layovers... but the plane was different. I called and had to pick my seats again.
Well, I checked my flights last week and not only was the departing flight five hours after my original flight- I was scheduled to have a 3 hour layover in Detroit! Same thing coming home!
I DONT DO LAYOVERS WITH KIDS!!!
I called Delta and they switched my flights AGAIN to a flight with the same departure/arrival as my first flight.
When I asked why I wasn't switched to this flight- she said she didn't know.

Then I asked, can this happen again? She said that all flights are being confirmed two weeks before departure- and that I could be switched again... this frustrates me because we are using DME and I have a limo taking us to the airport... Agggh!

BDL to MCO, I presume? The 6:50 AM out of BDL?

We had the same issue. Check this thread for more info:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2208537

As to why: Apparently the NWA auto-rebooking software is not working quite right. It doesn't "see" Delta flights, so tries to rebook you using ONLY NWA as a carrier...thus the Detroit debacle.

When we first booked, it was a Delta flight. Then it was an NWA flight. Then it was a Delta flight again. From Delta to NWA, apparently there wasn't a problem. But the other way round? Doesn't work quite as they wanted it too. And our first interaction with Delta CS was abysmal.....

We are out of BDL and had the same thing. Our original flights were both Delta non-stops (6:50 to MCO and 5:30 to BDL). Our flights were then changed to NWA flights at the same time (have read that they are consolidating flights). Apparently the return non-stop at 5:30 went back to Delta but we were all switched to another NWA flight through Detroit. I called right away and was switched to the Delta 5:30 non-stop. I just keep checking the Delta website each day to make sure that my flights are still the ones I want. In all our years of traveling Delta we have never had this kind of trouble. Thankfully we are now on the flights we wanted and have all our seats reserved - hope no more changes are made.

BDL to MCO- how did you know... are you taking that flight?

Yup, sure am. And I've been part of a couple of conversations on these boards about just those exact flights. :)

We'll be on the 6:50, non-stop, on Sept 16th and then the 5:30 PM non-stop back on Sept 25th.

:)

Just an update (as I've updated the other couple threads where Delta's BDL to MCO flights are discussed):

It looks like Delta might be moving the 6:50 AM flight to an 8:30 AM flight. I can't confirm, since Delta's site seems to be unable (or unwilling) to pull up itineraries at the moment. But my skymiles account, while still showing a departure of 6:50, is now showing an arrival of 11:17.

I've seen another poster confirm they've been "bumped" on a Saturday flight, but our flight is a Wednesday flight, and looks to be similar.
