Oh by the way, anyone else seen Bolt yet? Just got back and it was great. Even brought a tear to my eye!

Good idea! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes ;)
I'm feeling somewhat sorry for myself today! :( I injured an Achilles tendon a couple of weeks ago, didn't taken it seriously and now I'm paying. :sad2: It seemed OK earlier in the week then yesterday I forcefully pressed in the footbrake when parking at the gym and I felt a definite 'ping'! OUCH - not good... We went out in the evening and in heels I didn't feel any pain whatsoever! BUT when I awoke this morning, it was very painful and my calf muscle seemed to be in spasm!!! YAWN!!! :faint: :headache:
Karen, do take care. You need to be in great shape for your trip in April. By the way, I finally bought my Christmas cards today and are starting to address them. You are definitely a good influence on me. I’ve never started my cards before Thanksgiving before.
We are at the Outer Banks and while it is very beautiful, it is very cold. The temperature did not make 50 degrees yesterday. But we are at the beach and the kids will start arriving today and we are very lucky to have so much. I guess that is easy to forget in this frantic world today.

Our best to you all and we hope that you are able share time with your families and friends and have fond memories of those who have been lost through time.
How wonderful for you. We are so happy to have our family together for the holidays too. And we have so much to celebrate. We just found out we are expectant grandparents again! And the due date is on their wedding anniversary, July 12th. Isn’t that cool?

Good news on the new baby!!!

Thanks Much,

With a little research I learned that GPS units were a big no no in Russia, so no street maps are readily available. This ban was lifted about 2 years ago, so maybe by 2010, Garmin might have something out there.

I did load all the cities for the repo and this cruise oin a map set.

Also have a hard time finding Peru maps fro next year. I do have a world map, nautical charts, North America and Europe maps. World map worked well in Tanzania, as there were not that many roads.

Debbie quit laughing, At least I kinda know where I am, most of the time, :lmao: :rotfl2:

St Petersburg sounds like a very interesting city, but I get the feeling we will be stuck with DCL excursions.

:rotfl: :rotfl2: I started laughing even before I read that! But if it wasn't for you we would not know where we were!!

Debbie

Congratulations on the expected new grandchild. Exciting!!!

Is there a planned meet at WDW? I'm there on the 10th! Booked in a Savannah view Studio at Jambo House!

We haven't made any plans for a meet for this cruise yet. Are you just there the one night? We have a group from another forum meeting, but not this one as yet.

Will do, Eva! :thumbsup2 Decided to rest for another couple of days as I've seen much improvement over the weekend - this enforced inactivity is sending me a little stir crazy but I realise it's essential if I want to avoid further deterioration...

Well done with the Christmas cards! I hope you realise the only reason I sent yours sooo early was because I didn't know exactly how long it would take! I was told 10 - 14 days and they certainly arrived earlier than that - I'm definitely not that efficient in real life ... :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Did find a Peru map, for that trip,

Did find some maps of St Petersburg, but will have to play with converting them.

Thanks for the congrats everyone! Now we'll have to wait to see if the bundle of joy will be a little princess: or pirate: !

That is very cool. One question? Are the grandbabies easier than a teenager and a tween? I sure hope so.;)

Congrats on the new grandbaby!!!! You must be so excited.

We spent all day Sat. up in Nashville, TN doing some Christmas shopping at Opry Mills and seeing the Christmas decorations at the Opryland Hotel. I also got an early Christmas present from Jason: he took me to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular!!!! It was incredible!!!!

Good Morning Cruisers!

I have a Garmin as well. Can you just go to their website and download current maps? Is there a charge for it? Just wondering. I know there are some new streets in my town that are flagged as fields on my GPS. I get the "Recalulating" message everytime I drive on them :)

We can relate to this, our street is not on the Garmin maps either, and we just bought a brand new one! It says to "go off road" to get to our house:lmao: And that is only because we have entered the house as a waypoint!

We started putting up the icicle lights up around the house, but on both days only got a few strands up when the wind kicked up, it is hard to be up on a ladder in 25mph wind! Hopefully, we will have a good calm weekend this weekend so we can get them all up!

Have a great day!

We've been working on our outside decorations too. We got the inflatible up yesterday and the little trees on the front porch. Now we've just got to get the reindeer out and get a new light up sprial tree to replace the one that broke last year and we should be all done.

Being up on a ladder in that type of wind can't be much fun. Hopefully, you'll get the rest of you're lights up soon.

I'll be there the 10th to 17th. Hopefully I'll run into some of you at Mousefest!

Absolutely. It is like a do over with the added feature of being able to hand them over to their parents if things get out of control. They are just special.

Eva - Congratulations on the new grandbaby and getting your Christmas cards out. Since you are doing so well, we are sending you our list and cards to process. :santa:

Karen - hope you are better. I heard that Scotch helps.

Absolutely! My 3 year old little granddaughter is the light of my life. I feel she can do no wrong. But I only have her over a couple times a week. She spends the night about every other weekend too. So like Bob says, it's reall easy when you can send them home. She actually turns 3 today!

Happy Birthday Little Lexy!:cake:

Our 6 year old grandson became our grandson by marriage in July this year. He is a terribly sweet little boy. But he is very energetic and really wears poor grandma out. But he is still much easier than a teenager!

Yep they want $$$ for the updates, so I wait a while to make sure they are in there. Our street is not even on google maps.

Also if ya have several GPS units, I admit we have a few for different uses. The maps sets from garmin only work on two units, so there is more $$$$.

Emily, the blow up lawn thingies don't work at all here in windy Cheyenne, they just end up in Nebraska. Really.
