Hello everyone and greetings from the wild west coast, beautiful downtown Burbank, home of Corporate HQ and 40 minutes from the original "Magic Kingdom" (depending on traffic of course) Allow me to introduce myself and my merry band of cohorts (of course to some I see I need no introduction as we have sailed before - Hi Marillyn, Gydell, Lisa, and others who I have not seen yet on this thread) I am Steve and my merry men are Joe & Dan! We are scheduled to join you all on this joyous trip through the NEC (Northern European Capitals) As time gets closer, I will hopefully have more time to post and keep up on all the threads I am sure we will run through! I can be counted upon to help or participate with a variety of items (lanyards, fish extenders, Stem to Stern Pub Crawls, etc). Look forward to meeting everyone soon.

Steve, Joe & Dan

I need to read more of of the threads so I don't get in trouble and forget to say hi to everyone! Hi Connie, Kelly, Monica, Jackie, and Linda. Looking forward to seeing everyone again very soon! We are not in a lifeboat this time, nor up in the heights like the PC cruise, but back down on Deck 2 again; but who really spends time in the room! I will provide all the data to the roster as soon as I can get a real chance and when my head is clear (2am typing is usually not very good for me).

I will try to check in every so often as the kids/work allow me.

I've just started a BSc in Criminology and Criminal Psychology, Claire... I'm a seriously mature student and it's tougher than I'd anticipated but I've wanted to do this course for 3 long years (I was turned down twice) so I'm also loving it... :goodvibes

I hope you achieve all you want to :)

Claire ;)

Starting to get a bit chilly there! Little over 2 weeks to go till I arrive! But the high here today will be 32 degrees with snow squalls. Anything better than that will be fine.

Glad you're cruising with us again! We're on deck 2 also. It's going be different than deck 7 that's for sure but if everything works out ok then at least we're on the boat.

STEVE!

Hey man, nice to see you! Monica and I are 'tentative' for this cruise, as we will be looking at other lines (:scared1: ) when they release their rates for the summer of 2010. This one is a tad pricy as I'm sure you've noticed. Hope we get to cruise together again!

She doesn't mean that. She just keeps saying that for some crazy reason.:lmao:

Hi all ... Thought I would pass on this little tidbit. I went to WhiteCliffsCountry and ordered their 2008 brochure. You can download it, but I had it mailed. It arrived yesterday, and although I haven't read it from cover to cover, there are somethings that look interesting. I think I might go visit Canterbury while I'm there. It's close to Dover and sounds like fun. They recommend a rental to visit Kent, but seeing as I don't drive standard, and the whole wrong side of the road :lmao: thing, I might stick to the bus :rotfl: Anyhow ... Hope all are well. Weather is cold here, but at least it stopped snowing!

How many days until summer ???
-----
Edited to add!

Ooops ... Just went to check out the brochure. The infomation on Canterbury was from Fodors guide to European Cruising. I was scanning through it while browsing in Chapters (Our Barnes and Noble). I own the DK Eyewitness Travel Guide to cruising Europe, so I probably won't pick up the Fodors one.

Canterbury is a beautiful, historic city so well worth a visit... :thumbsup2 My DS went to Uni there and his graduation ceremony was in the cathedral - stunning... :goodvibes

We live in Kent and there are some great places to visit - not that we ever do, of course... ;)

Hi Steve and welcome. Hopefully we will still be on this cruise by the time it sets sail, and we can meet you all again.

Welcome home! Did you have a good trip?

Not a bad trip thanks Gydell. We had good journeys and I managed to get some shopping in!!!! We had a meal with John's sister and BIL last night which was nice too.

Visiting John's mum gets harder and harder. John tries to get down every 2 months and I go along alternate trips. He doesn't like the long drives now, so manages to fly when he goes on his own. She is 91 and in a care home, so conversation is not that flowing and she isn't happy so moans constantly. Hopefully when she moves to a new home in a few weeks she will be happier.

Oh, and the 2 business visits went well for John, and he also met his sister at the Bank to try and get them to sort out the mess they have made with their mother's money!!!
