I will personally throw her overboard if she acts like she did on the PC!!!:rotfl2

Rethinking that - we could steal her battery!!!:

Does she have a first name you can share?

For you airline frequent flyer gurus....what happens if you book a mileage ticket then decide not to use it? Do you lose those miles?

I'm looking at using miles, but I get a benefit through my work ($ towards personal travel) so if not too much $ would prefer to use that then and save the miles for another time. I don't want to not book the mileage tkt tho asap as I do know that those are hard to come by.

Any help would be WONDERFUL!

I don't know it. You were on the PC weren't you? You could not be missed. If you were walking down the hall in twos then one of you were going to be run over and thrown to the wall. After a show or in Shutters she would literally run over you! Kids didn't stand a chance if she was around and never a "sorry" was said. One night after a show the elevator was overcrowded and she rammed that ... chair into the elevator (which the doors would not close) running over feet and hitting legs. Finally a couple of people got off so the rest of the people could get to their rooms. The scooter had three speeds fast, faster and fastest! After enough people complained to DCL she did slow down to just fast!

$100 fee to return the ticket to miles. If the ticket gets cheap enough then you can use points as cash. The fewest miles on Delta now for a FF ticket to Europe is 70,000 points.

Hi Gydell,

Do you know if a stop over is usually allowed? I'm thinking of doing United - Orlando (connecting through Washington Dulles) to London, then London to Dulles (spend 2 days there for my nephew's bday) then back to Orlando.

This thread sure moves fast!

Tammy... sending you    I'm so sorry for what your family has been through. Sending you Much Aloha

As for the lanyards, on our July '08 cruise one of our cruisemates made lanyards. We wore them b/c it helped in spotting other cruisemates as you passed one another on the ship. We will definitely help with $$$

Aloha,
Jen

I think I saw her at WDW once. She ran into my daugher hard. I stopped and stood in front of her cart and told he to never run into my daughter again. Then she said to keep her out her way. I told her that she should stop being a b....h. And yes, I said it and it was loud.

We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We hope that your pain lessens with each day but that your special memories grow stronger within your soul.

The pain comes in waves that become less intense over time. thanks
for you prayers.

Sorry for the disappearing act....work has been kind of crazy so far this week - no time for me to :surfweb:

Tammy -   I can only agree with everything everyone else has posted PLUS I feel honored to have met you in person. You are AMAZING - as a woman & a mother. I know I didn't get to see the kids much at all on the PC cruise, but I know that they are very greatful for you & your strength (even if it doesn't look like it right now). Remember that we are always here for you

Kari - good to see you again - I think I met you for maybe 5 minutes?? :rotfl: Glad school is going well.

Don't be honored to meet me, I am not amazing in any way. I am just doing the best I can, day by day. It is persistance and pure will. And of course, I get carried when it gets really bad. I know that I am only surviving by the will of God.

A co-worker of my mom's (not for long she retires on Oct 30! ) went on a cruise last year with most of the same ports. The port times were also similar. He suggested late seating, because it was very enjoyable to watch the ship leave the ports. Especially in Stockholm, it was interesting to watch them navigate out of the port.

We enjoyed watching the shoreline and the views from the ship as we leave the ports, so I think we will stay with late seating, and just hope it is not the really late one!

He also is letter her look at some incredible books from St. Petersburg:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 It is a beautiful city and I can not wait to go there! He also lent her a book on Stockholm. There are some great places there to see!

How many more days to wait?! (I gotta get a tickern:thumbsup2 )

tell me more about this scooter person, wonder if it's the same person I'm thinking of?? but I'm too lazy to search this entire thread for it!

Quick question: Do you guys wear the lanyards around the ship? I hate to be a party pooper, but we have a ton of these things and never wear them. On our ABD trip last month the guides gave them out the first night and not one of the 32 in the group ever wore theirs. They even gave out a new pin each day to put on it. But still no one wore them. But if everyone wants to do this, I will donate to the cause. I just don't think you will ever see Steve or me wear one. I guess I could hang them from our fish or somewhere on the door.

:flower3: I hope that doesn't make anyone mad. The only time I wear lanyards is when I am forced to at a conference or such.

I don't thin k I would like to wear the normal stiffer lanyards, but on the PC cruise the ones who organised the lanyards provided soft thinner ones, and we wore them all the time, even in DL after the cruise. They were bright green, so we could see all our Dis cruise mates all over the ship.

27 pages to get caught up on.....

some thoughts

- it seems like there are enough of the "ship of thieves' crew to pirate this cruise as well....and it seems more are joining us every day :cool1:

Nancy and I wll be celebrating our 25 year together on July 2nd......if our plans go as planned. we'll still be in Europe.

Any of our British cast mates suggest something very romantic to do for this very special day....Liam will be tagging along as well

just as a point of order ...those of us on the WB PC cruise only had 462 days to plan for that one...lol....now we still have 596 days ( a few days early for the cruise....)

It will be a blast....hope we do not run into the scooter lady....:lmao:

Now, what kind of things interest you and where abouts do you think you might be for your anniversary?

Wow...not been on for a day or so and had lots to catch up on.

I can contribute $$$ to the lanyards. :thumbsup2

Tammy - so sorry to hear about your husband, you sound like an amazingly strong person.

How can we get a graphic for our cruise? Does someone on the cruise usually design it?

John is just back from the doctors. His scan was clear!:yay: The doc is treating him for blocked sinus at the moment though the scan report didn't mention that either. Relieved is the word here.

That's fantastic news Marilyn. :cool1: Big hugs to John.

We saw her run a woman over in the art gallery hallway - then yell at the woman she hit!!:scared1:

Delta allows you to have a stopover.

I'm sure it was the same. She has been talked about on here before.

You can generally re-deposit your miles back into your account for a fee. It depends on the airline and what type of ticket you "purchased" through your miles.

On your other question - and this is where mileage really shines vs. $ - you can book one open jaw and one stopover. For our trip to the Med last year, we flew into Barcelona and stayed for the cruise. Then we flew to Paris and stayed for a week. Then we flew home from Paris. All on ONE "round-trip Europe" ticket. We COULD have flown home from yet a third city (like Milan for example).

There may be an issue since Dulles is in the United States. I'd recommend you just call your frequent flyer program (United, right?) and tell them what you'd like to do. Even though you can't book yet, they can tell you what United allows.
