Oh, by the way Gydell, I need to update my info on the first page:

It will be myself, Michelle, DH, DS17 and DS7 at the time of the cruise. We are in a category 10. We changed room numbers, and probably will again, so I will just put down cat 10.
Thanks!

What are their names? Thanks

Thanks for the words of welcome, everyone. I sure feel lost in your group! Y'all seem to have known each other for a very long time. This will be our 6th cruise on the Magic...we have one in Dec. 09...and y'all are confusing me :confused3
I finally figured out FE when the picture was posted...saw those all over the ship during the EPC cruise. :rotfl:
I can't wait to learn more!

Connie, Jackie & I are in a cat 10 - right now 1039...only one that was on deck 2 was across from where I was on my 1st cruise & I thought it was very noisy. I'll call periodically to see if anything better has opened up (maybe even tomorrow).

So - who's stayed on deck 1???

Oooh!!! Cheeky!!! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Guys, I'm going to apologise in advance for not volunteering for anything. Believe me, it's for the best as I have zero organisational skills... :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

For example, I joined in with the FE exchange on our last cruise. I bought the gifts, had a Fish Extender beautifully made by a lovely lady on eBay - what could possibly go wrong???!!! Maybe the fact that I forgot to take the list of stateroom numbers and details of which gift was for which person!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Nightmare. It took me days to sort as I had to get online, email my home alone DS with instructions to find the list on my laptop and wait for him to reply. By which time we'd been receiving all manner of wondrous things from our fellow FE exchangers on a daily basis - even though I couldn't found my Fish Extender for the first 3 days. :faint:

On the penultimate day we finally got our act together and raced around the ship quickly stuffing FEs with our gifts... :scared:

In the mini navigator it has everyone's stateroom numbers and a "Nemo" next to their name if they are participating in the FE exchange. That way you will have the list, and all our activities in one location. The ship also gets a copy so they can keep track of us (HAHA). They actually use it and make copies for their use so they make sure they have enough CM's on duty in the area whereever we are located. (like bar hopping at night). Okay, back to reading!

PLUS - it's a great souvenier & can end up in your scrapbook :thumbsup2

I saw those - but they're right by something that is VERY noisy (engine??) If I can get midship deck 2 then I'd change it. Of course deck 5 or 7 is a no brainer :rotfl:

Believe me - there will be many souveniers coming home w/ me!
Same here! I am sooo looking forward to the fact that what I can buy is only limited by how much space I'll have in the car parked at Dover!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I loved the mini navigator too....amazing work!
OK can someone please fill me in or show me an example of a mini-navigator??? :confused3
Let me know when you find your formal...
Will do. You might want to match up with me - I'm thinking less is more... :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

...I think that we will be flying out of Chicago, hopefully direct. So it looks like British Airways may be the way to go. Do you have any suggestions? I doubt we will do Delta again. The flights we had with them last month going to Italy were great. But since they go out of Atlanta, it makes for a very long day of travel for us. So we are going to stick with going through Chicago this time.
Virgin Atlantic also flies out of Chicago into London... :thumbsup2

Will we be doing Fish Extenders? I've never been in a group that has done them. So even though this will be our 5th cruise with DCL, someone will need to hold my hand and explain it all to me...

Eva, I did it on our last cruise so am now something of an expert. ;) Oh no, wait - I'm getting confused with wine-tasting!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: All I'm going to say about the FE is I've never known such stress - now I know how Santa feels... :worship: :worship: :worship:

I think it is stressful too. We will be off the ship except 4 days so that could affect the time we have to pass out gifts.

Oooh, I hadn't thought of that. Think of all the suitcases we can take!!:lmao:

Oh, I found it stressful too. We did a group one that wasn't without its problems, and that was done the very first night! then I spent at least a year looking around for items for personal drops I wanted to do, which were mainly for children. Our group was scattered around obviously and I felt I walked for miles! However, it was all a lot of fun.

What about doing secret Mickey gifts? We could set up the guidelines like one person to one person or cabin to cabin. Then we are not spending 2+ hours hunting down cabins we would just have 1 or 2 each time. We could still do it daily or not.

I like that idea - that way WE decide what/how much we want to take w/ us. Plus it still makes things special :goodvibes

That was my thought exactly. We'll have to see if others agree and then we can switch names or cabins. We'll do another poll to decide.

I really like that idea - then we could try and learn as much about the person (subtly of course) we're buying for over the coming months... I love secret gift exchanges - I'm involved in a Halloween one right on the UK community board...

I have started a Google calendar to keep track of all the celebrations during the cruise, plus some "extras" I plan to add later.

I have skimmed through all 63 pages of this thread and think I have caught all of the birthday's and anniversaries but please let me know if I have missed yours.
