That gives us almost 16 months to save up.

No more Starbucks for me

Well, I'd be willing to do the scrapbook class again. We will most likely do a tabletop book (6 x 6), 14 pages in length, you will get all the supplies for the class and we will do it on a sea day. It will be based around the theme for the cruise. You will pre-sign up for the class before the cruise when it gets closer. For those that have done the class before, feel free to chip in and let everyone know if you want me to do this again.

Please sign me up ! This would be great! Thank you for doing this!

We could still incorporate some kind of swap if wanted.

Thought according to our local rag over here that the cruise director was to be Rachel.

Rachel was our cruise director this summer on the Wonder. She remembered us from the Med cruise last summer. That would be cool if she was our cruise director again.

Lauren and I would be thrilled to do an on board scrap class! If your keeping track for later, please add our names too!
Sue, Christina should be old enough at the time. She'll be about the age I started Lauren.:goodvibes

Hi everyone! Had an absolutely manic day today :scared: and only just had a chance to check-in!

So our cruise details are as follows:

CustardTart # 8000
Karen
DH Richard

Oh and have I mentioned it's my 47th birthday on June 22nd 2010!!! ;) :rotfl2: :woohoo: party:

Congrats Karen. :thumbsup2

:lmao: And did I mention I will be celebrating my 35th Birthday on 16th June 2010!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Double the celebration!

We'll join in with the celebrating.

We will be celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary on June 12, 2010

Had to tie the cruise into a big anniversary so DH doesn't complain about the cost :thumbsup2

Jen

We'll add to the celebrating. 33rd wedding anniversary on May 28, 2010......

MJ and Seaulater
DD and I would be up for the class and the swap and I think this might have something to do with my FE also!:goodvibes

Okay, let's plan on the scrapbook class. I'll have to look at the itinerary and decide which sea day to do. And I'll do it before the 105 day mark so as not to mess up anyone's Palo Brunch reservations.......HA!

Also, can we think out the FE exchange somehow this time? I would love to do the FE exchange, but hate the thought of transporting all the gifts and trinkets home. Maybe we could have "groups" get together and reduce the number of gifts, or someone come up with some idea so it is something that would be useful? Anyway.....just a thought since luggage will be somewhat of an issue and I know last time in the Med. someone who had to pay over $900 to get their extra luggage home!

WOW.... $900 for extra luggage :scared1:

We enjoy participating in FE gifts too and coming from Hawaii, luggage will be an issue for us too. Our last cruise this past July the amount of FE gifts wasn't too bad b/c a lot of it was small trinkets, and whatever candy/food we received the kids ate up

Anyone have an idea what to budget for the excursions and souvenirs?

Jen

Hey Debbie, we are in 5522, the web site looks great, and is always a great addition to the cruise. will you do photo links???

Yeah.. after I looked at it again I knew that number was wrong LOL

I will be doing photo links soon. Took me a few minutes to remember how to upload the page again. May take me a few more minutes to remember how to do the photos :rotfl: :surfweb:

Thanks everyone for sending me an email with your info. I will also be keeping an excel spreadsheet of the information so it can be shared and sorted. My other plan is to do a deck plan and color in the rooms. I need to figure out a better way to do that this time. Last time it was a pain.... there has to be a better way.:rolleyes1

A little caveat about updating the page. I have a job that may require my attention for periods of time, and at the drop of a hat. So if there is a short period of no updates, rest assured I will get to them when I have some sanity back in my brain :lmao: And for the next few weeks I am helping a friend design the master suite for his new-to-him house. (He is a guy with NO sense of space or size:rotfl2: ) so I will be in and out of here until he finishes that project.

If you are celebrating something I will put that on the spreadsheet and may be able to put together a page. It seems we have alot of birthdays aboard!

As we come across links for planning, I can add that also.

How many more days?????

Debbie

In the Med, excursions averaged about $150pp. It was difficult to find anything lower than $100.

You can check pricing over at RCCL to give you an idea what are the typical "adult" tourist things to do - and their prices. Disney will put their unique spin on excursions though. We found only about 1/3 or at most 1/2 of the excursions to be similar to the other cruise lines.

We had plenty of room for FE gifts on our cruise. People seemed to bring small or easily packable items.

I found a FAQ's list that I did for the 1st med cruise when I was looking for the excursion list. We'll probably find something like that useful this time around too. I imagine many of the questions will be the same (although the answers should be different). I'll be glad to pass it on to anyone that might be interested in keeping one for this cruise (I don't think I'll have enough time to keep up with the questions - although I don't mind finding out the answers).

Hey Karen! As you already know, I am right behind you. I will be turning 47 on the 28th right after the cruise. But I still have them bringing my cake on the last night of the cruise. After our time in London, we will return home right on my birthday. Steve is so great and he will make it really special even though we will be traveling.

Debbie ... Can you get Gydell to post a link to your website on the first post. I already can't remember it, and not sure how far back to look!

To all the women turning 47 on the cruise. Watch out. I turned 48 a month ago and it is all downhill after 45 :rotfl2: First to go is the memory! Better get out those granny reading glasses! :rotfl:

When we did the eastbound Panama Canal transit in August, we had to devote a suitcse and a half to the gifts we took for the 138 cabins participating in the FE exchange and the gifts for our three Secret Mickeys. Those activities are a lot of fun, but agree that the luggage limits (going & coming) are a big consideration.
