LOL - I apologise for your near death experience, my husband has a potty mouth! (but I laughed and had to post it, so i guess I'm just as bad! )

I think we need to set up a poll for people to vote - anyone know how to do this? :confused3

I think Gydell needs to post the poll as she started the thread, but that's as much as I know about polls :)

(I personally liked the kick in the baltics name too--but I did need to read it 2x to get it....I had just woken up :rotfl: )

Oh Claire please don't apologize we died LAUGHING lol

I think a poll is a great idea

Morning from Washington State!

Yes Emily we can breathe this week. Although after laast weeks performance on the field I bet the players are running around the stadium all day lol

Come on, Tuesday!

Oh, and Kevin said what about something in the name like
Meeska Mouska Mickey Mouse? Although we about died when I read A Kick in te Baltics
Hilarious!

They've been running since Monday I bet. He gave them Sunday off and then it was work as usual x2.

I love "The Mouse Goes Baltic" .. as well as "To Russia with Mickey"

Along the Ariel theme ... How about "Bringing Ariel Home!"

I'm glad - I really hoped it wouldn't offend anyone but it was too funny not to share.

Wanted to share 2 companies that I'm going to be looking into for a non-DCL excursion/tour....maybe as we get closer we can see if a bunch of us want to do a group thing.

I've read recommendations for both.

Thanks - I haven't even thought about excursions yet but will save them to look at. (I've got too much planning to and not enough time!) Doing a group thing sounds fun. :thumbsup2

I had been looking at doing a Baltic cruise on another cruiseline prior to this week's announcement, so had already started w/ research.

This may end up costing less $ and from what I've read these tours are more personal & only hold a certain amount of people (unlike probably hundreds through the cruiselines).

Me too! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Maybe tweak it a little for any sensitive souls out there to Getting Our Kicks in the Baltic...? ;)

I think I would hold off on putting Ariel in any names for the cruise since she may be missing

FYI - posted on the city home page

"The symbol of Copenhagen The Little Mermaid is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Copenhagen, and for many visitors the symbol of Copenhagen and Denmark. 70 billion people are expected to visit the EXPO Shanghai from 1 May - 31 October 2010, and whether The Little Mermaid will be there for everyone to see is up to the City of Copenhagen. The city's lord mayor is positive about the idea of sending the famous lady on a seven-month holiday to China. While she is away, visitors to Copenhagen will be able to experience a Chinese reinterpretation of her at Langelinie. "

:scared1: :scared1:

WHAT!!??? That just doesn't seem right! She's 1 thing I definately want to see in Copenhagen.

BTW - Welcome to the DIS!

That sounds good, I like the sound of a more personal tour. :goodvibes

Why would visitors to Copenhagen want to see a Chinese reinterpretation of the Little mermaid? Why would China want to see the real thing in their country?

Now that could have a double meaning as we would be out there for the group stages of the World Cup!

Claire ;)

I think these kind of more personal/individualised tours should be a good option as we're part of a decent-sized sub-group. I'm really looking forward to looking into the different tours - only trouble is it's very distracting! :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Yes that dawned on me too Claire - but I am not telling hubby as he won't go if he realises before I book it on Tuesday!!! ;)
