Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

Ok, I sent an e-mail to Rach7, 2bundles, and carolmb, since I had their addresses. Anyone else, let me know.

Big Awl, I am planning on the 11 night Southern Caribbean, IF, they come out with some Cat 12 deep discounts. Otherwise, I will probably just stay home. :LOL

Maybe Joann and I can talk you into it, anyway. It's gonna be another great time.

I must say, it is usually pretty easy to talk me into Disney cruises. This one is expensive though, and with all the money I have spent on my summer mega vacationathon, I really need those 999 or even 1599 per person in a cat 12 to justify another trip. LOL.

My co-workers already know I'm crazy ... when it comes to the Mouse that is!!! :rotfl2:

I can't wait to meet you the feeling is the same here.:cool1: The great thing is my boss also likes the Mouse. Suggested I extend my business trip to Southern CA so I would stay 3 nights at DL instead of one!

Maybe it's because they are wondering what cabin to upgrade us to? :thumbsup2

Yea right! Oh well the wait goes on and on and on...!

My co-workers and facebook friends have got to be real tired of my countdown ticker and event for this cruise posted on my profile.

I keep the weather for all our ports on my iphone. Currently @ this moment it is Sunny 72F w/ sunrise: 4:44am & sunset: 9:51pm & we all know the length of daylight will only get longer till our cruise.

This weekend will be an update to the roster. I will let everyone know when I do that.

Hi Debbie,

When you update the roster you can change us to GTY (was 6060). DCL opened up the cruise to military discounts and we were able to save a bunch, the only issue is we don't have an assigned cabin now. Our reservation now says "Run of the House" for cabin assignment.

Everyone else is celebrating their cabin assignments, we're going the other way. :confused3

Will be interesting as we're B2B so we're going from 6060 on the min-repo to who knows what on the Baltic.

Guess we'll just have to do some onboard booking(s) with what we saved on this one. :cool1:

I have always wondered what "run of the house" means with respect to cruises?

Just booked a hotel near Heathrow for the night after the cruise. Couldn't decide which one we wanted so let Priceline pick for us. I bid US$58 on a 4-star hotel in the LHR area, and was accepted. They assigned us the Marriott Heathrow Windsor Hotel. It's a little farther from the airport that others we were looking at, but not by much. And cheaper than anything I could find booking directly. Signed up for two rooms because we are a family of 5 and no one seems to be able to accomodate 5 in a room.

I'm wondering how full or empty the ship will be. Right now, if booking online, categories 9-12 are only availble as GTY. Though it looks like other categories still have choices available.

Debbie you must be a better packer than me. My concern is not the number of bags, of course I don't want to pay the fees, but rather the weight! The fees for another bag is less than the overweight charges or that is what I am telling DH any way!:rotfl: Sue

I think you scored a deal. Look it up on tripadvisor and see how it will be.

Life Boat Suites are still available....

We are now watching the BA strike situation to see if our LHR to CDG leg will be affected:confused3

OK will Ducky be on this cruise, if so, we are thinking about packing a mailing tube,

We are trying to remember if DVCL sold them on past cruises????

I hope he'll be on this cruise. I can't imagine him not being on it. He rarely misses a "1st" cruise. I've got to add to my ever growing Ducky collection.

He's not listed on the cruise... but hopefully he will be!
