Northern Europe Magic 6/13/2015

We were on this cruise a couple of years ago. Copenhagen is lovely. Here are couple of ideas. Don't bother with the shore excursion to Tivoli. Way too expensive. Take the Hop On Hop Off bus which you can get close to pier. Ride it around to see all the sites. Jump off second time around at tivoli. Buy your own ticket. You can get one with rides or without rides. Or just some rides. Walk around maybe have lunch. It's beautiful. Also be sure to go to port and walk around. So pretty.

Thanks! This makes total sense! So, how long is the trip around on the HoHo bus?

Yes, we've read this as well. We haven't made time to visit either of the stateside parks - maybe we should do that and skip this one

We live in California so it is easy but it seems like flying to Europe and then traveling 4 hours out of town to visit LL wouldn't be worth it. That said, my husband and I went to Japan and spent a full day (of our limited time) at Tokyo Disneyland.

Don't forget jet lag as well. If you are flying directly into Copenhagen, your kids might be asleep at LL. ;-)

We are planning to book this cruise for our family and two other dear friend families when we sail on July 5 in the Med. Super excited for our upcoming trip - but also super excited our friends all want to join us in The Baltic!

Hi Everyone…..this cruise will be just me and my son (age 10 by then). So excited to go. Hoping to book Disneyland Paris the week before the cruise….Thank goodness for the Disney Vacation CLub :)

Spending a whole day at Tokyo Disneyland is not only expected, in this group, but treasured. :)

Hello! This will be our 3rd cruise and 2nd one in Europe. We are planning to spend a week prior in London and Paris. So excited! Looking forward to meeting everyone.

For anyone interested, Adventures by Disney has posted their cruise add-ons on their site. They have our 7 day cruise and the pre Copenhagen stay.

Are the prices and dates listed anywhere? I only get a prompt to call them.

The only two that would be of interest are London and Copenhagen but it is probably too much time in each city.

We've booked the 6/13/15 baltics on opening day and somehow just found this meet thread. (thanks, sweetlovin)
myself, dh (birthday during cruise), ds9 (also birthday on the cruise) ds 6 joining. first european cruise, gold dcl cruiser.

Someone in another group mentioned SPG Tours in the baltics as an option to doing the $$$$ ABD add-on tours. Has anyone used them in the past for the private touring option?

Hello!! So excited to be joining the group! This is our 4th Disney cruise; we have been on the Med cruise in 2011 and are excited to be going back to Europe!

So, I had originally booked this cruise on opening day. Got a great rate on a verandah, but then we had to cancel due to a family emergency. I totally regret canceling prematurely, cause now the price has risen significantly and we are going to have to downgrade to an inside cabin  BUT I am so happy to be on this cruise either way.

Looking forward to chatting with all of you all and sharing ideas/thoughts and plans - perhaps even excursions :flower3:.

Great job on the FE website btw... very nice ;)

We are thinking of doing this cruise if offered in 2016. When would be opening day? We've never cruised before so I'd love advice on getting the best rate. We'd be booking a family verandah room and I'd love some starting out advice for best price. Thanks and everyone enjoy the upcoming cruise!!!

Opening day depends on Disney, when they decide to publicize the new itineraries. I have a travel agent that I use and she is really good about letting me know in advance when the opening dates will be. The opening dates for this cruise have long passed, so that's why I have to rebook at current prices :headache: So the best way to get a good price on a Disney cruise is to either book on opening day, at the last minute or on board for your next cruise.

We were on the August 27, 2011 cruise. It was the BEST!!
