What about Cedar Point/Great wolf Lodge/Castaway Bay? Definitely great amusement parks there. You could stay near Geauga Lake on the way home for a couple of days and visit all of Northern Ohio's amusement parks!!

Sawmill Creek Resort is near Cedar Point without the "I'm in the middle of a theme park" feeling.

You could go up to Put in Bay for a day trip or two. There are caves to explore there too.

Niagra Falls is a lot of fun.
If not that then maybe Ocean City, Maryland.
Also Boston is so much fun, lots to do there.
