North To Alaska--May 3, 2011 on the Disney Wonder

Hi All!! :yay:

I had so much to do that I forced myself to stay away in February. :guilty: :sad2:

Geesh, I take a month off for "real life" ... now have two working teens (total of three part-time jobs), two new driver licenses, one early college acceptance, and one scholarship (wheew!!) ... and I am a cajillion pages behind and missing all the fun stuff!!

Please count me in with the CHAMPAGNE GALS!! :thumbsup2

Please add us all to the Fish Extender List:
TADsMommy (2602): Tiffany, Ashley (16), David (15)
TADsDaddy (2604): Dave & Karen

Now I need to catch up on all the other fun stuff I have been missing!! popcorn::

Okay guys ... it looks as though it is now OUR time to speak! What say you ... should we launch our entertainment gala? I am thinking, Quiet Cove will likely be uninhabited during the Champagne soiree ... so how about we reserve the pool and bar aware for mens night? :cool1: :rolleyes1 :drinking1

Steven

The LOST BEER BOYS do it again!!!! Hahaha!!!! That's what the men called themselves during the first Champagne Girls Tasting. It fits!!

Hi Karen, welcome to the party. I will add you to the list for the Champagne Girls. The only thing I will need to know is what category you want to be? A taster.....guzzleing all the champagnes, a sipper.....tasting some not all and only having a little or an honorary member.....no thanks to any champagne. Thanks for letting me know. It helps determine pricing and ordering the right amount of champagnes to sample.

THAT FIGURES! :lmao:
I am going to bring my DCL beer mug ... so I can get 22 ounce refills for the price of 16. If anyone else ever purchased a tall DCL glass beer mug / stein on a previous cruise ... bring it along. You can get the refills ... so long as you have the glass mug!

So far so go. Won't be long now.
Roster Update
Hi Bob and Lee! We do not appear on your new roster? We are CoastieandMate, confirmed B2B CRUISERS. We have late dinner seating on both cruises room7520 on the repo and room7020 on the Alaska. Karen and Ron from Ocean View Hawaii. We are on Ken's Lanyard list and the FE's on both cruises. Mahalo!

Hi Matey!

I just sent you MANY Updates... MANY, MANY!

Too many to list here. I forwarded them to you via e-mail and spreadsheet.

Awesome!! Count me in :)

Hello - we're actually on the June 14th cruise. I was wondering if any of you on this 1st voyage are going with just passport cards instead of books. My brother opted for that cheaper alternative and it SHOULD work, but it makes me nervous.

should work, however, the book is always a good idea to have. If you get "stuck" in a foreign country (say Mexico or Canada) the border can still require the book. I use my card to fly and get on and off the ship. I am not sure what would happen if you had to fly home from Canada.

Scott - want to weigh in on this one?

Cayla... do you know if we can apply to just get a card. Our passports don't expire until 2015, but I am thinking a card would be good to have and was wondering if we have to wait until getting a whole renewal before getting a card.

Personally, I would travel with the full passport if I had it. A card will be ok for this trip but not flying.

The U.S. Passport Card can be used to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda at land border crossings or sea ports-of-entry and is more convenient and less expensive than a passport book. The passport card cannot be used for international travel by air.

So, in this instance, wouldn't the card be a problem? If the OP is from the US, and will be departing from Vancouver ... that's International flight! I am not sure if they are on the REPO ... otherwise ... they'll likely be flying INTO Vancouver as well!

If they are flying then yes the card is a problem. If they are on the repo cruise then it would be ok. If they are driving or taking the train/bus to Vancouver then it should be ok.

Another cost saving measure was to fly into and out of Seattle instead of Vancouver (much cheaper fares for them) and enter Canada by land. I too am more comfortable with the book and that's what my immediate family has. It's the extended family I am worrying about. thanks for all your input.

does anyone know where I can get the larger version of the logos
