Okay guys ... it looks as though it is now OUR time to speak! What say you ... should we launch our entertainment gala? I am thinking, Quiet Cove will likely be uninhabited during the Champagne soiree ... so how about we reserve the pool and bar aware for mens night?![]()

Hello - we're actually on the June 14th cruise. I was wondering if any of you on this 1st voyage are going with just passport cards instead of books. My brother opted for that cheaper alternative and it SHOULD work, but it makes me nervous.
should work, however, the book is always a good idea to have. If you get "stuck" in a foreign country (say Mexico or Canada) the border can still require the book. I use my card to fly and get on and off the ship. I am not sure what would happen if you had to fly home from Canada.
Scott - want to weigh in on this one?
Personally, I would travel with the full passport if I had it. A card will be ok for this trip but not flying ... the passport card cannot be used for international travel by air.
So, in this instance, wouldn't the card be a problem? If the OP is from the US, and will be departing from Vancouver ... that's International flight! I am not sure if they are on the REPO ... otherwise ... they'll likely be flying INTO Vancouver as well!
