Just spoke to DCL ... they said excursions will be out next week. The ABD Alaska will be 2179 pp if you booked on DVC points. Our cruise is the only one it is not being offered on!

I heard it was the first three it wasn't being offered. Either way it is a bummer. I was highly considering it.

Ok, I am a cruise newbie and have several questions.
1. What are fish extenders?
2. What is so magical about the 120 day mark?
3. I haven't heard from my TA since I booked the cruise many months ago other than a mass email about sailings for the dream. Should I be concerned?
4. I haven't book flights yet. What is the earliest time we can safely book our return flight?

Ok, I am a cruise newbie and have several questions.
1. What are fish extenders?

Here is a picture of our "fish extender" from our Panama Canal cruise in 2008. This has my now DD9 in front of our stateroom door.

You can see the "fish" that it "extends" from. That fish is where notes get left or messages. The "extender" is just a way to have a bigger "mail" box and people can leave things in them - kinda like a stocking on Christmas, except the extender can sometimes get stuff the entire length of the cruise.

I've currently got a few ideas for items to put in fish extenders for this cruise.

Thanks. That's where I looked yesterday when it wasn't there. Lo and behold a while later it appeared. I don't see the price listed directly on the screen, but imagine it's quite high. Also, it did list our cruise as participating...

That is intereseting, before when it was posted they did not list dates for it. Now, those excursions need to come out so I can decide what to do.

Just got off the phone with our TA who had me on hold while he called both DCL and ABD. There is a mis communication happening between both companies concerning our cruise.

The ABD will NOT be offered for the first sailing, and it doesn't look as if this will change. The info on ABD website showing the May 3rd date is incorrect.

As of now, the May 10th cruise will be able to book the ABD.

Know this is disappointing news...

Need to figure out what I'm doing flight wise.

Waiting (not so) patiently for the shore excursions to be announced!

Ohhhh Noooo! Sorry to hear this! At least you will be on Alaska! I know what you mean about the job. We haven't told them yet and are both hoping this will not be a problem.

Monica, I'm sorry you had to cancel the repo portion, but glad you'll still be joining us for Alaska!!

Luckily I'm able to take off for everything, but I think it's only because I had all this planned when I hired on. I doubt they'd let me take this much time off otherwise, of course its not like I'm getting paid or anything.
