I was wondering the same thing. I know not relevant here, but looking at the Victoria excursions, you must be 21 for excursions with wine pairing, but the legal age is 19. DD will be 4 months shy of her 21st birthday

....hey everyone! We're baaaack!!

I know we haven't posted on here in AAAAAGES! I have been totally off the boards since just before we went on our big September vacation and B2B cruises and haven't logged on since we got back. The real world came crashing in all around us and the adjustment back to real life after nearly a month of Disney was a little harsh.

Anyhow...we are still on this B2B cruise (repo and first Alaskan)...and we are staying at DL for the full weekend before (checking into DVC Villas at GC on Friday 4/22). We are paid in full and have our airfare booked...now just waiting for excursions and bookings to open up.

I'm sure that we've missed a TON on here in the past few months...so if any kind soul wants to send me a PM letting me know if there's anything I should know (I've already sent a note to Ken abt our lanyards)...that would be great. Otherwise...I'll try to be more active on here from this point on.

Spent the evening researching the port excursions and I think I have my choices narrowed down for each port....DCL managed to narrow quite a few of them for me with weight restrictions and higher fees for being pooh sized.....I hope that the excursions I would like to book will still be available on the 18th...

I am sure I am not the only one dreading the deadline but, at least it will be paid for. Does anyone know when Disney will give us our cabin? We decided to leave it into the Disney gods to give us a good cabin.

I know I wil be the only nut scuba diving in Alaska but does anyone else want to join me?

I noticed there is some discussions about shore tours. We have been to Alaska before and can tell you that if you do not want to do a tour, all the towns are very walkable and the ship dock in town.

I will try to post more often but with all the holidays over and the cruise in almost here, I will try to post every few days.

I got my cabin assignment on Dec 3 for my Jan 26 Dream cruise if that helps. That's around the 50 day mark.

Now that the due date is upon us (no I'm not talking pregnancy), do we have any ideas or guesses about special events on this cruise?

I am wondering about formal nights, pirate night, mexican night, ?Canadian? night? Any of those evenings where we need to bring extra clothes/costumes.

Time to start thinking about packing, and if we need any costumes, my wife (LuvBaloo) needs to get going on the sewing (which in turn means I need to get cracking on setting up her craft room in the new house).

I'm very excited about the excursions. I'm glad there is such an array of choices. I was concerned it would all be expensive stuff, but the ones I was interested in ranged from $40 to $579...so, I have some decision-making to do! But, I was really thinking that it was going to be quite a lot more money just based on what other people said about the costs of excursions.

Re: Age of kids on excursions...no idea if it is true, but the Med excursions also had different ages for the DCL tours than if you booked independently, and we were told by a cast member that it was due to DCL's liability insurance for the tours.

My cabin mate confessed that she had been checking our reservation every few days to see if I'd applied my payment, then realized I was probably waiting for a billing cycle to complete. Smart girl, that's exactly what was going on!

I've only glanced at the excursions, but will look them over much more closely this weekend. Then I can compute how much overtime I need to work between now and them!

I so agree about picking excursions, I have no clue. So much sounds fun. Skagway is the only day I think I know what I am doing. DH and I think we want to do the helicopter and dog sledding.
