North To Alaska--May 3, 2011 on the Disney Wonder

Add us to the roster! :cool1:

Gayle (me) - Muncie, IN
Kara (BFF) - Indianapolis, IN
(Both mid-30s - yikes!) :scared1:

Right now we're booked for the May 3 (first) Vancouver to Alaska cruise. We both work at colleges/universities, so hopefully we can break away at the end of spring semester for this trip! :confused3

Stateroom: 6624
Seating: Second

By the time of this trip, it will (hopefully) be my 6th DCL and Kara's 4th. Neither of us has ever been to Vancouver or Alaska, so I hope there's lots of info sharing on this thread & boards in general. I hate the cold, but BFF has always dreamed of Alaska. I said I'd only go if Disney went there, so here I go! :lmao: BFF was actually crying tears of joy during the announcement! :sad2:

Seeing so many of you also doing the repo from LA is making me a little jealous, but know we'd never be able to get away from work another week earlier. :guilty:

We'll probably be flying into Vancouver on Sat. or Sun. prior to the trip, so we'll need info on visiting the city.

I look forward to getting to know many of you!
Gayle

:welcome:

I posted some pictures earlier in the thread from a recent trip to Vancouver (bottom of page 22, sorry I'm not good at doing links). I highly recommend Stanley Park and Capilano Suspension bridge as sites to see in Vancouver.

In the cruise forum, somebody has already got a Vancouver info thread started, so there will be plenty of information available.

What is MouseAdventure?:confused::confused:

It is a scavenger hunt / puzzle challenge we've been producing for almost 10 years at Disneyland. We are doing it in WDW at Epcot for the first time ever this November. There's a good write up explaining the game at mouseadventure dot com.

Good Morning Cruisers!

Welcome Gayle and Kara!

Hope everyone has a great day!

If I remember correctly didn't you do a smaller version of this on the 11 night Southern Caribbean? Of course, I could be getting it confused with something else, but I seem to remember something like that.

If it is what I remember it was a lot of fun, but really, really hard even on the ship. I can't imagine how hard it would be in Epcot or Disneyland.

Finally found some of the pictures of Dog Sledding in Banff!

Yep, you can't let her anywhere near animals........horses.....dogs.......

any kind at all............:rotfl:

Linda..I don't think we're going to have to worry about horses on this trip...I have heard rumours that Leslie doesn't get along with Segways either!!!!!

aphoenix - that sounds like a headache dealing with the flooding and the bad pavement.

Mouseadventure is awesome!!!! We've done 3 in DL, one at sea (WB PC Repo last year) and are registered for the WDW one this Nov. We are so excited it is going to be here this year since we moved from CA to FL and missed the last 2.

We are going to Epcot this Friday to "study."

I thought it was on that cruise. It was a blast, but boy was it hard!!! They put a lot of time into that.

Maybe we can talk Tony into doing it again on this cruise. I know I'd love to do it again.

Feeling silly now, I did the scavenger hunt on the WB PC Repo last year, but I didn't know it was a MouseAdventure.:lmao: DH just told me we were doing it and it was fun :goodvibes

Good Morning Cruisers!

We did not get the snow forecast for last night, but it is cold and windy here so far today, hopefully it will warm up a bit so I can get the dogs out for their walk before they go to "puppy camp" (kennel) later today. We will be off tomorrow for WDW, Tower of Terror 13K Race, and Scott's extended birthday celebration!

Have a great day all!

Glad everyone likes the pics. It was so much fun and they let us play with the dogs once they were done working.

Welcome Gayle and Kara. And anyone else I missed.

Good to see some other hoosiers on the cruise.:thumbsup2

Let me guess, you are at Ball State and Kara is at U of Indianapolis or IUPUI.
