North To Alaska--May 3, 2011 on the Disney Wonder

Hello there everyone!!! Me and my husband will be joinung you for the Alaska Cruise as well. We will also have another couple joining us who we met and befriended on the 2008 DVC Members cruise. This will be our first ever trip to Alaska and we are so excited... It seems sooooo far away. We have a few small cruises possibly planned so that will help to get us by until we get to the cruise in 2011! We have been on 7 cruises thus far with DCL and we are hoping to make it all the way to Platnium by this one. I know we have a few to go. LOL...

So do you think they will change the menus this cruise? Also what about the fireworks? If it is light all the time do you think that they will still do them at some point? I guess I am also wondering about party changes onboard as well. I guess we will be the first to find out right!? LOL! Last of all does anyone know what the temps will be like in Alaska that time of year?

I got married on the Wonder in May 2009 and I'm thrilled my hubby likes Disney. lol Can anyone recommend any good hotels to stay at in LA? We want to fly out a few days before the cruise.

Hi Ian!!!!! Another familiar cruiser. Maybe on this cruise we'll get a chance to actually meet. I was hoping to make it to shots around the ship, but I was in a food coma after Palo that I didn't remember it was the same night until an hour or so after it had started.

I forget about all you guys that live on the other side of the country and don't get to experience the original Disneyland all the time! I'm just looking at the cheap airfare from Salt Lake!

Just remember to check options of flying into John Wayne in Orange County (SNA) or Long Beach (LGB) if possible instead of LAX. Much easier to fly into either one of those instead of Los Angeles if possible (and Long Beach is the closest to the port)

I am just excited that we will be able to go to Alaska. My husband has seemed more excited about this local than any other one that they have had. Are we going to freeze in May?

Don't worry you're not the only one who won't be on the repo. We'll be with you joining all the repo'ers in Vancouver.
