North To Alaska--May 3, 2011 on the Disney Wonder

So true, however, for us anyway, things have always seem to work out by booking time. Patience.:goodvibes

Bob, Bob, Bob.... as you well know... patience is, unfortunately , not one of my many virtues.... :lmao:

The deposit is $600 per person per cruise!:scared1:Maybe they are trying to weed out the people that will double book or cancel.:confused3

It used to be $500 and I guess they aren't continuing the 1/2 price booking... I wonder what it is onboard?

Gydell..

I just got a message from Cheri (who is on the Magic right now...)

This is her message...

I asked today and yes, the onboard agent said the land dep. price for the Alaska cruises is $600! So onboard it's half that, or $300. Awfully steep! But the repo (LA to Van.) is the regular price, according to her.

We will be using our DVC points for this! I always said that the only way I'd go on an Alaskan cruise was if it was Disney. We are going to book this on 9/21 since we are CC gold :)

Congrats...your passion for DCL pays off :cool1:

For now we're CC Silver (after Alaska we strike gold too - how appropriate). Can you post what you find out about points on 9/21. I'd love to have a few days planning time (DH maneuvering time to be more accurate) before making the call at 5 am PDT on 9/28. We'll likely go with a Deluxe Oceanview - Deck 2. We used our 2008-09-10 for last week's cruise, so we'll only have our 2011 & 2012 pts to use. I bet we'll need to come up with some cash too :rolleyes1

But your in with the best of us!!! :grouphug:

So true! I couldn't ask for a better group.

I just checked my Nov. cruise and guess what? I'm still in a lifeboat on it too!!! I'm always in a lifeboat. Mickey is doing his best to give me a 2nd class citizen complex.......

If we were on the QM2, we wouldn't even be in STEERAGE... we'd still be out in the parking lot...

& did you know on Cunard, we wouldn't all have been able to dine together??? They still have the class system...

Isn't that what Disney is doing with the new CC system? Just a different name for "class system"?

We are going to do the 4/27 and 5/3 B2B. too!!!!!.

What a great group! It's going to be so much fun! We want to invite our son, Mike, to go with us, since he'll be graduating from Law school that spring, but we're not sure he'll be available, so he'll have to wait and see if there's anything available for him.

That's what I think! I guess the next thing they will do is tell me that I can eat in the kitchen after all the 1st class have eaten.:lmao:

So does this mean that those of us on the same deck should not associate with those crazy Canadians on the same deck??? Makes me want to book an inside cabin... (well..it sounds nice...but mom would throw you overboard for her verandah!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:)
