So.... Who's been back since it reopened? We were there last night, and it's amazing what they've accomplished since the fire. Very impressive.

I did note that they've really changed the arrangements for subscription for next year. First (for some significant reasons I'm sure, but still), they put a lot of pressure on us to resubscribe well over a month ago, more than six week earlier than in previous years. Second, they're making it much harder to pay a deposit for a subscription, with the balance due in February, as was the standard arrangement in past years. The new subscribers seem to be offered that arrangement, but not current subscribers. Third, they've eliminated the distinction between Dress Circle and Inner Circle. We were going to move back to Inner Circle next year to save some money... so much for that idea. I have to believe the folks with Inner Circle subscriptions are livid, or being offered former Dress Circle seats (we had no subscribers to our left on our row) at more heavily-discounted prices than we Dress Circle subscribers were offered for our resubscriptions.

The shows next year seem good enough. I'm disturbed that they've pulled-back from announcing The Three Musketeers. Maybe there were some problems with the permissions?

I have not been back but I was just wondering if you know what the deal was with the Fox 25 guys and the Full Monty. I caught a brief snip on my way to work the other day and there was a photo of them in their undies and they said it had to do with the Full Monty at Northshore. I never did get the complete story and they have referenced it but I was just wondering.

I didn't see any Fox 25 guys. I saw too much of the actors, though.

LOL

North Shore Music Theatre burned down??? When?? That place was great. I love the version of A Christmas Carol that they run every year. Haven't seen it in a few years though, I'm too far away. :sad1:

There was a fire opening night of Cinderella, in July. The stage was destroyed, and the seats and carpets had too much smoke and water damage to salvage. (There was no damage to the structure, the lobby, etc.) The place reopened a week and a half ago. It's not quite finished (the carpeting isn't in yet, and some more hydraulics and lighting will be added during the off-season), but it looks like it will be better than ever. The new seating is wonderful. All seats are now the same size; much wider than the old narrow seats and only marginally narrower than the old wide seats. And all rows have much more leg room than before. There is a mid-deck with handicapped seating, for the first time, and a section of stadium seating. Very substantial improvements, all.
