North Myrtle Beach Hotel

I know this has been asked over and over again. I did a lot of searches but wanted a more recent opinion.


Thinking about going to North Myrtle the week of the 4th for just 3 nights. My dh has time off that week that he is required to take. Otherwise we would go another week .

Looking at Beach Cove Resort. But I would love opinions on any hotels in that area. 2 of us, 3 kids. We'd like to stay in North Myrtle. Would prefer something $250 a night or less.

We stayed at Monterrey Bay suites last summer and it was really nice. Parking was really really tight, but alot of those parking garages are. They had a free breakfast, nothing to write home about but doable. The pool was clean and so was the hot tub. It was right on the beach with a small pier to walk over to the water. Room had a very small but clean kitchen, 2 doubles and a murphy bed in the living room. Oh and there is a pool also on the 10th floor, smaller but usually quieter than the main pool. HTH

I've recommended this before. Last March we stayed at Oceans One in a 2 br 2 bath condo with full kitchen and laundry. 11th floor direct ocean front. Don't know if you have been before, but make sure you have a head on direct ocean view. Sometimes just seeing water doesn't make it a full ocean view.

We loved the condo's contemporary furnishings. Parking was across the street, but in March traffic wasn't a problem. Had both an indoor and outdoor pool. We didn't use either. Would welcome staying there again. Quiet area.

We've stayed at the Beach Cove several times and love the location and our kids love the pools!! The last time we were there the room we had was in need of an update though. I do believe they were in the process of updating some sections. The view on any floor, any room is fantastic!
