North Face Jackets

DD14 (on Monday!) wants a North Face Jacket for her birthday. She wants the Denali Thermal (ie "fuzzy") one. I've seen children's sizes in different colors, but I think a woman's small would last longer. Online and in my local stores I can find black, brown, blue and white. Does anyone know if the adult woman's sizes come in any other colors?

I know the "regular" Denali jacket comes in more colors, but she says if I get her a regular one she would like black. Go figure!!!

I don't know about colors, but I wear a misses 12 in clothes and I can wear my DD's XL north face. They're a bit shorter, but that's about it. Plus, the women's sizes are almost twice as much.

Oh, and my DD has the dark brown one (as well as many of her friends) and she loves it!!

My daughter, 17, has the regular Denali North Face jacket in black. She is small (4'11", 100 lbs.) and her jacket is a women's XS. I remember when she bought it, she tried on the child's sizes, but she liked the women's better, and it fits her great. She could have worn a child's size, but I think she likes wearing a jacket that says "women" on the tag instead of "youth".

I highly recommend the North Face line of products. My daughter HATES wearing any winter coat that is bulky or the least bit uncomfortable. She LOVES her North Face jacket and even though they can be pricey, I think it's worth it. The jacket has been worn a lot and it's still in great shape.

We are big North Face fans, and order a lot from REI and Sierra Trading Post.

Right now, it looks like REI has women's in soft blue and green, and girls' in a bright pink (I did not check size availability).

I just bought one for my DD18. I took her to REI first to try them on. The women's M and the Girls XL fit her the same. I got a great deal on a girls XL from www.sportsbasement.com. I found a 10% off code by searching on google. If you see a color you like but it says in stores only, call the 800 number and try to order that way. the customer service there is great.

The best price I found was Bloomingdale's, believe it or not. Go figure! My dd wears an xxs woman's if she can fit into women's clothes. I got the kids large. The kids XL was so much wider than the ladies XS. I hope this one works.

I've only seen black and an off white type color in women's Denalis.
