Norse Airways cancelled MCO flights!

I'm due to fly London Gatwick to Orlando on Thursday. Notified today that Norse have cancelled my return leg. Checked their app, turns out they have also cancelled my outbound flight (but not thought to tell me)

Looking online it seems they have cancelled most/all of their flights between Gatwick & Orlando from now until at least the 17th of Jan. Apparently there is an "industry shortage of engines" 😳

I've submitted a claim to them, which will apparently take them 6 to 8 weeks to look at! They have no customers service, just an AI chatbot.

Just wanted to give anyone else in January with Norse the heads up!
 
Been all over UK Disney Facebook pages for several weeks now, with people lamenting their lack of humans to speak to, and only noticing cancelled flights when checking the app themselves. Some even due to fly out for a Christmas cruise and ended up back home instead. Totally devastating.
 
The lack of communication is shocking. Unfortunately I'm not on any of the UK Disney groups so had missed all this until this morning 🤦🏻‍♀️
From the scan I've had of them today, seems that some people think they are on the brink of going bust 😬
 
That is awful! Can you do a chargeback on the credit card you used? Not sure what the laws are in the UK, but that is a reason I pay for travel with a CC. With documentation (copy of the chat) and the inability to speak with a human, it would be an easy win within the laws applicable in the US.
 

Good to know their service is subpar. I was looking at using them next year to London. Will need to rethink this. Good luck!

Yes, I paid on my credit card and have travel insurance, so I'm sure it will get sorted out somehow overall in the fullness of time... But could definitely have done without the hassle!
 
They seem to be having an absolute disaster at the moment. I flew with them Jan 2025 and it was fine, but this time it's all gone wrong
We just flew the nonstop from London to Orlando in October and it was great. I am sad to hear of all their troubles and everything you are going through. How absolutely frustrating!!!
 
Yes so sad to hear this. Hope you are able to file a claim and be compensated. Better yet that they get you another flight for no increase in cost! Good luck.

My family has used Norse 3 times for roundtrip NYC to Rome over the last 2 years. Everything went smooth and by far our most economical option. I’d have a harder time booking in the future if it cannot be reliable.
