I recently inherited a set of Noritake dinnerware. It is a complete 12 piece place setting, except missing two saucers for the coffee cups. I have looked and looked, but I cannot identify the pattern. I do know it is circa 1930's. I have already scoured replacements.com and even emailed them with pictures but no one has answered.

Does anyone know any other places I can search patterns?

I collect china...mostly discontinued patterns. Once when I was unable to identify a pattern, I did a search on Ebay and found it. I'd start in the NORITAKE listings and search for "circa 1930". Sometimes using the pattern description, such as gold edged, platinum edged, pink flowers etc. can lead you to a find. When all else fails, search the gallery from beginning to end. Fun!

By the way, does your pattern have tiny light blue flowers? Most of their patterns from the 30' and 40's do and usually with a bit of pale pink.

Hmmm.... I know there are books devoted to Noritake, maybe the library? Antique dealers often have copies of such books as well. I googled and found this link that *might* help: http://www.noritakechina.com/discontinued_patterns.htm

Good luck! I love the handpainted scenic Noritake items and have several deco styled pieces, my whole china cabinet is filled with Noritake :) I just don't know much about the dinnerware sets.

there isnt a pattern name or number on the back at all

there is a company in Burlington, NC called 'Replacements' that has pieces of china, silverware, etc. from just about all patterns of many companies. I am sure that there is a web site.... try www.replacements.com

Good luck!
