Here we go again. The news is talking up to a foot of snow on Friday. I finally have only a small 3' circle of snow in the back yard adn the grass is starting to actually turn green.

My DW and her friend are flying out for her first girls trip. A 3-nihgter at SSR. They are supposed to leave at 7am on Fri. It's getting stressful in our house. If she doesn't go I have to tile the bathroom, even worse!!!

Keeping our fingers crossed for rain in Boston.

Isn't it awful! We also are down to one patch of snow in the back of the house where we shovel off the deck. My son was supposed to start soccer practice this Friday. Games start April 9th and they haven't had a chance to get together because fields have still been closed, and now more snow!

I'm not happy about it either!!! I keep checking airfares for sometime soon but unfortunately being a teacher has me limited and we have another vaca planned this summer. I may have to wait over a year to use my newly purchased DVC...haven't even closed yet on SSR purchase.

Keeping my fingers crossed! This has happened to us on 2 occasions and both times we took a gamble and grabbed the last flight out the night before, got a cheap hotel right at the airport (shuttle service and breakfast included) took shuttle back to airport to pick up the car or ME. On both occasions our original flight had been canceled so the fee the airline charged us to make the change was refunded as soon as I called.

Fingers crossed for rain for your DW's trip...and for you too!!

:goodvibes

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Enough is enough with this Winter. ughhh

Best of luck. I have a friend who is flying from NJ to visit Disneyland and she is schedule to leave Friday morning... hopefully planes will run as scheduled. BUT if there is any sort of issue, hopefully it will just be minor delays! :thumbsup2

I'm so sorry for you, and I hope things turn out OK, but I know I wouldn't be sleeping very soundly on Thursday night.

The Boston Branch of our Family will soon be the Florida Branch. Collectively, they've had enough of the Boston winters.

I thought about them leaving Th pm. The change will cost $180 per ticket. I assume that does not include any fare increase. We're going to roll the dice and see what happens.

I did think about cancelling the Sat and Sun nights so that if it all gets scrapped on the day of arrival, we only loose one nights points. If they go, I add the two nights back in.

It's got going to be to bad in the Boston area. :thumbsup2
Here some pixie dust:wizard::wizard::wizard:

keep calling the airline and to see if they have intiated thier severe weather change policy, since then you can change for free.

The forecast is for a foot of snow in the Boston area?? I thought just a rain/snow mix (but I try not to pay attention until the day before - which is now!). We have to drive to NH Friday afternoon so....NO SNOW PLEASE!

I hope your DW's flight leaves as scheduled pixiedust:. I am sick and tired of the weather this winter :upsidedow.

I just watched the local forecast, 2-4" overnight and 3-5" tomorrow here in Ludlow area of Ma. just northeast of Springfield, heavy wet snow. I still have about 8" in the shadey spots and in the woods under the pines, hope things work out for you.

We already have 6 snow days in CT and the school year has been extended to the 24th of June.

We cancelled the Feb Winter Break trip due to the weather, Spring Break was cancelled because of school sports related issues and the announcement that the Break might be shortened due to the snow days and just canceled the June trip now that the school announced the extended year. Yikes! Will we EVER get there?? :confused3.

And my mom in Boca Raton was complaining about the heat last week. Heck, it was 31 degrees for my DS(15) soccer match sunday night at 9pm.

It looks like rain for boston from what I can see, hope all goes well for you!

I'm here as well. My poor kids are not excited about Saturday School or anymore make up days. Hopefully it just misses us!

I think Worcester is getting 6 to 10 inches -- the University may be closed again!

I had a dinner meeting tonight in Boston and just got home to my house in Worcester County. It was snowing all the way home but didn't start sticking until I hit Framingham. There is about in inch on the ground at my house right now.
