Nordstrom- Rumor Has It...

My DH just told me that he heard from a co-worker that Nordstrom is having a good size sale this weekend. Does anyone have any info on this??? I'm just wondering if it's a good sale for Nordstrom prices, or a REALLY GOOD SALE

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the BEST sale that Nordstrom has... It's not the best sale compared to other retailers, but it's the best one that Nordstrom has!

Not everything is on sale, but it would probably be worth stopping by to see if the dress you bought is now on sale.... Nordstrom has a pretty liberal policy on returns and price adjustments... I'm sure if it's on sale now, they'll give you the adjustment.

It's most likely not on sale.. their Anniversary Sale is generally brand new merchandise for fall. But, you could always stop by the store and check it out. They'll do a price adjustment within 2 weeks of your purchase date.

Thanks, I called and it's not on sale..............2 weeks is great, maybe it will go on sale.

Hold onto your receipt. Even if it goes on sale in the next month or two, you could always return it and re-purchase it. They don't have a time limit on their returns. I worked there for 2 years and we did returns for that reason all the time.

Please don't do that..... There are a few retailers that don't have time limits on their returns, but doing the whole returning and rebuying is really not what that's for... That's called taking something home, holding it (keeping other people from buying it at full price) and making money off the deal... I know that maybe it's "allowed", but being a person who works retail, I think it is a stinky thing to do.... JMO.

Not trying to start an argument, just explaining how it works at Nordstrom. But it's not only allowed, but it's advocated by managers, etc. Their willingness to do that type of thing (and actually be proactive about telling people to) is what helps keep customers, and turn new customers into dedicated ones. Obviously, if people are doing it with every single thing they purchase so that they can make money off of it, then yes, they will put a stop to it with that customer. But otherwise they are fine with it, and managers often suggest it to customers when they make a purchase if the customer is worried about it.
