Nordonia Knights are going to the state high school finals!!!

For the two or three of you out there that might care, the Nordonia High School football team just won their semi-final game over North Olmsted by a score of 12-10. They will be playing next Friday in a game to determine the #1 division two high school football team in Ohio.

When my DS was a Senior, their team made it all the way to the regionals in football which was a first for our school. Also, that year they made it to the Quarterfinals in basketball! That was such a fun year!! Enjoy!!!

That's great John, the football playoffs on the other side of Ohio were postponed until Sat. and Sun. We don't know how to deal with the snow on this side of the state. Just curious, how much snow did you get in Cleveland. My sister lives east of Mentor and I am sure they got a ton. What she was thinking moving to the snow belt, I have no idea.

That is great news!! How was the weather for the game? You said you had around 3 inches of snow during the afternoon, did you get more during the game?

Don't know who they are, but that is great!

Only light snow during the game. They had to bring a snow plow onto the field prior to the game in order to clear it. It was cold, but I don't think that the boys noticed it at all. The officiating was borderline ridiculous. It took forever for the last 30 seconds of the first half to be completed. The teams were well matched. It could have gone either way.

As far as delaying my start to DIScon, I'm taking Friday off from work anyway. I'll just try to get some shuteye during the day and then try no to party too much after the Knights win the state championship next Friday.

The snow wasn't all that bad here in NE Ohio. The first snow of the season seems to always catch everyone off guard. We all know it's coming, but we're never ready.

Good news! I hope you all don't have to play the defending champs Toledo St. Francis--their game is today--I'll let you know if that's who you'll face.
Now why can't the Buckeyes score again!!!!!!

Congratulations! It will be an exciting time. Licking Valley, where I teach, made it to the State finals last year and we went up to Canton to watch. They were eliminated in the second round this year. We were two boys over the limit and had to move up a division this year. It made a big difference at playoffs.

Have fun getting out of there after the game.

Way to go Knights!!!!! Here in NE, my DS football team went to state football finals last year, after a Oct school bus crash that claimed the lives of 3 kids and 1 adult, it really brought the football team together, went to Memorial Stadium and WON! Towncrier, to you and everyone, Congratulations and Good Luck!!
