NOOOO!! Corn Dog Castle down for Refurb!!!

They caught my attention too, but for a completely different reason (see my screen name ;) ) and I seem to remember UT getting their butt whipped a few times by OU in the not so distant past :rolleyes1

I will agree on one thing though, the Texas State Fair does have the BEST corney dogs!!

Looks like i got boomered by a Sooner. Fair enough SG.....almost always a great game & with the Cotton Bowl bathed in 1/2 orange & 1/2 red every year....it's the best football game in the country.

Yep, it is the best football game in the country! And, right in the middle of the Texas State Fair - so much fun! I was getting worried there for awhile that they were going to make good on their threat to make it a home & home game, but it looks like we adverted that crisis - I hope it stays in the Cotton Bowl for many years to come!

OK - sorry for going :offtopic: back to your regularly scheduled corn dog thread :)

I just wanted to say that the Corn Dog Castle in DCA seems to have better tasting Corn Dogs than the red cart in DL. Here is my theory why: The DL location is always SOOOOO busy, the line is always at least 20 minutes. The DCA location is usually only a few people deep and maybe ten minutes at best. I think the oil in DL is used a lot more and therefore older and the corn dogs are not as good. Maybe?:confused3 . I don't know cause they say they are the same, but don't taste like it.

BTW, I have to have one every time we go.;) And I trust you guys from Texas that you have superior corny dogs, but being a CA native, the ones at DL/DCA are as good as it gets for me.

I'm with you on the have to have a corn dog thing Linda! I tried them for the first time about two months ago (can you imagine? all these years and I didn't know they were there)

See ya soon! Cheryl

I agree that the Castle in DCA is better than the red cart (corn dog truck) in DL...don't know why either....it just was. But both were good.

(sorry i took the corny dog thread off topic :3dglasses ....& actually i find munching on a corny dog as I'm walking toward Soarin' with my FPs.... to be far "superior" to eating them in the Lone Star State....just wanted to share the invention or birth of them. :) :teacher: )
