The Barnes and Noble Ebay store has listed these once again but now a price $79 + Free Shipping. If you are interested in picking up an eReader this is a pretty nice deal. The price keeps going down and down. I bought my Nook Color thru the EBAY store and it was shipped direct from Barnes and Noble just like a regular purchase.

Warranty

It says "While Supplies Last" and they've sold over 3,000 so far. No idea how many will be available.

I got mine for this price the day after Thanksgiving and I've been really happy with it. It looks brand-new, you'd never know it was refurbished.

Tuesday Morning has Nook covers for $9.99 right now, too. They had cuter ones for the Kindle but what they had would get the job done.

I saw these yesterday, but I didn't buy. Then I regretted it, and now I see it's still available.

Ugh. I don't know what to do. I really want one, but I wonder if it's worth it.
I heard ebooks are pretty pricey. Right now I purchase my books used and donate them when I'm done with them.

I want a Nook Color so bad, but it doesn't look like they have any of those. Thanks for the tip though!

I bought one of these when they had the deal after thanksgiving. I didn't like it though and ended up giving it to a friend of mine. I will stick with my Kindle even though it cost me quite a bit more money.

I still have yet to pay for an ebook. Every Friday I download the Free Friday book from Barnes and Noble, I've gone through a bunch of books on the Barnes and Noble website that are free (search for 0.00) and I get ebooks from my library (sometimes I have to go on a waitlist for books but I've got lots to read so I don't mind digging into another book while waiting).

Granted I don't get a lot of new releases but I don't personally care about that. I enjoy all types of books so I just look at what's available for free on bn.com or if I have a particular book in mind I look at my library and get myself on the waitlist for that book until it's available.

Thank you, OP!! I have been wanting a Nook for a while, especially since I can get library books on it, but being the cheapo that I am I have been waiting for a sale or discount code or something. Can't beat $79!! :goodvibes Yay, I can't wait to get it!

On top of being able to find free ebooks, you can borrow ebooks from the library. If your's doesn't offer them, there are libraries that will allow you to pay an annul fee for membership, which is most likely alot less than buying books for a year (at least for me, I read a ton).

What is the difference between this one and a Nook Color? I have been wanting one too!:thumbsup2

i bought one around Thanksgiving, I LOVE it. I buy very few books...I use the nookdeals.blogspot.com website, and the libraries that lend ebooks. It is very easy to use, and I love to be able to carry multiple books in one light weight device. I'm reading 3 books on it right now (odd, I know, but the way I read).

The Nook Color looks awesome, and I would buy it in a minute if I had small childern so the wonderful illustrations in childern's books would be there in full color, but for me the Nook is perfect...and the price was right!

I contemplated the Nook Color, because it just looked so pretty and bright and, well, colorful. But when I seriously sat down and made all the comparisions, I realized that there wasn't anything it could do that my phone couldn't already do, and my phone can do a whole lot more. The screen size was the only difference. That, and being able to read magazines, but I'd really rather flip through a physical magazine. And with the color one being so much more expensive, it just didn't make sense for my needs and wants, so that's why I went with the non-color one. :goodvibes

Mine shipped yesterday, I can't wait to get it!! :yay:

I bought mine yesterday morning and it shipped by 4pm. I'm excited! I stopped buying books bc I just don't have space to display them. now they'll all go to my nook!

I am going to get a new smart phone in June when I am due for an upgrade! So I really considering buying the Nook! Thanks :thumbsup2

Thanks for posting this. I have been thinking about one for my mom but didn't know if she would really use it. But for $79 I don't have much to lose.

I bought one yesterday.....an early mother's day present for me! DH was glad that took the pressure off of him having to pick something out. Now just a B&N gc will do!

Just made up my mind to get one - no longer available. Oh well, maybe next time.

I'm sorry you missed the deal. I ordered one as a gift for someone and then found out they ordered themselves one too! So I am going to have to return it.
