Nonabrasive Cleaner

I know this is OT, but you are all so good with practical advice. We just installed a new vanity countertop in our bathroom, and it has to be cleaned with a nonabrasive cleaner. What do you recommend using?

I would suggest just a wet washcloth with a squirt of dish soap. When we had our quartz countertops in the kitchen put in, that is what the installer recommended. He said people go way over board with cleaners. I do the same thing in our bathrooms with new Corian countertops. If you feel the need to disinfect - I would give a light spray with Lysol.

I use 1/2and 1/2 vinegar and water. The smell goes away and it disinfects.
Good for kitchen use too.

For tougher cleaning I use some baking soda on a wet rag. I have microfiber cleaning cloths from SAMs club, they were about 20 for $9.99, on HSN I paid triple that.

I through them in a small cycle with borax and no softener..

One good way to keeo clean an shinny an easy to clean is to wax the counter top an sink with car wax. Protects from scratches puts a barrier between the sink an hardwater deposits etc.

I also wax my shower an sides of tub not the bottom tho makes cleaning so much easier only works if you have not scrubbed off the shinny finish on the sink or tub tho.

Also wax my counter tops in kitchen an kitchen sink the same way a couple times of year is all it takes for bathroom an kitchen.

I usually use the liquid turtle wax.

OHHHHHHH an wax the curtain rod too makes the hooks slide easily an no more torn holes in shower curtain might have to do that more often but you can use the spray pledge or whatever for that. Spray on rag an wipe you done.

When cleaning it best to spray cleaner on rag an wipe rather than spraying sink or what ever we cleaning as we use way to much then an end up spending time cleaning up the cleaner rather than just cleaning.

I love the 50 50 water an vinegar do almost all my cleaning with it.

I also have a little broom an dust pan just for bathroom that I sweeo off counter top with the shelves when I clean them ect clean up the hair an stuff so i not just smearing it around as I clean. Got the little broom an dust pan at the everything a dollar store.
