Non-traditional CPers...questions!!!

I have some questions for anyone who was a non-traditional CP.

1. Do CMs with children get any kind of passes for them other than the Maingate?

2. Do spouses/grandparents living in the home get any kind of pass so they can take kids to the park?

3. Do I still need a parking pass or some kind of ID if I plan to participate in any of the CP events, even though I'm living offsite?

1 and 2 - no. Only full-timers get passes for family members, unfortunately we do not. We get the same strict 3 people for 6 visits and you physically have to be there. It gets confusing because all of the maingate text talks about exceptions for your family members - but that does not apply to CPs.

3. That gets tricky. I was able to get in because I was talking class and had a class parking pass. When it came to graduation, they charged me (I think 10+) - but I got around it because I lived in the housing for 2 months first. Did you pay the programs fee when you accepted? Technically if you paid it then you should be able to get in, but security is tight so you'll have to explain your situation every time. It eventually became such a pain I stopped fighting to get in.

Hmmmmm...my oldest is full-time and she only gets the 6 time Maingate. I wonder if us living with her will change that so the kids can get in?

I'm living offsite as a CP too. . .what if people just check you in for the events and stuff? I paid the fee, and I would want to participate in everything since my boyfriend and another friend of mine will be living in housing. I also was considering classes since they would be an excellent networking opportunity and such.

I'm just gonna hate the hassle of dealing with security every time. . .

My plan in that case is just to keep a copy of my receipt for the program handy to show security whenever the need arises. You'd think they'd have some kind of plan for that, but I guess it's not a frequent enough occurrence.

I am the same age as most CP's, and i've done it before, and i want to do all the activities, i just don't want the housing rules, and shared bedroom. . .
