This is basically the problem, though.
Lots of us want more options for trading "on occasion". But DVC is finding that few people want to actually buy in to those offsite locations...
(And there is also the side effect of offsite owners potentially adding to the crowd to book WDW at 7 months out. )
Agree. DVD won't build more non-park resorts until/unless they think there will be sufficient buyers.
There is a lot of competition in the timeshare world and there are several players who are as good or better at it than Disney. Disney's real competitive advantage is its theme parks. IMO, they really haven't been all that successful at any non-park location.
