Non-smoking room request at Disneyland hotel

I noticed on my confirmation that Disney cannot guarantee me a non-smoking room despite my request. The operator assured me that the chances are slim to none of my receiving a smoking room, but Murphy's law being what it is, I'm considering canceling. I don't do smoking rooms and never heard of any hotel that didn't designate guaranteed non-smoking rooms, much less the Disneyland hotel. They are completely booked for my dates. Anyone have any experience getting stuck in a smoking room there?

I've stayed at a lot of hotels in my time and I am not sure if any truly have guaranteed me a n/s room. I know that a well respected brand name hotel gave me a smoking room when I had requested a n/s but that was the only time I have come across that. We called also and that was the only room they had left in a queen/king set. I would guess that as long as you request the room at check in again, you will have no trouble getting a room.

If you are truly worried about it, check out the Grand Californian... it is listed as a non-smoking hotel.

tmartin,
Yes, the GC is all non-smoking, but much more expensive.
There are very few rooms left at the Disneyland Hotel that are smoking.....you should be fine.
