Received a HA OKW GV in January 2004. We didn't even think to request non-HA beforehand. It was in a GREAT location across from HH in one of the new buildings with the elevator. We also had 2 studios in the same building. So, we didn't THINK to request a change. It was more like, walk in - WOW!

Oh, it's a HA unit - oh, well... Wow! Let's check out the upstairs!!!
The walk-in shower in the master bath was kind of annoying. We needed a lot of extra towels just to put on the floor so that the floor wouldn't be wet all the time. The toilet was too high for the kids to use by themselves and there was no storage space anywhere near the 2 sinks.
We lived with it. All the extra toiletries wound up on the shelf of the window opening between the tub and the room. The kids used the toilet in the other first floor bathroom. The jacuzzi tub was no different than a non-HA unit. If we really hated the master shower, we could have used the shower in the outside bath since no one else was using it. But it didn't bother us THAT much and privacy was more important.
The lack of cabinets under the kitchen sick was a minor annoyance and a bit unsightly. The laundry room had elevated FRONT LOADING machines which I LOVE! I think only the HA units (at OKW) have them? Anyone know?
All in all it was a very nice unit - hey it was a GV - even if it was HA and I wouldn't hestitate to stay in that unit again.
Too be honest, I probably wouldn't reserve a GV again for a long time until my kids are grown and will be using one of the upstairs room. The house feel was nice but since my family and I only used the first floor master, I didn't get to enjoy the upstairs at all. Not to mention, it's nice to have some privacy from the rest of the family.
Although, we might be tempted to try the one story BWV GV's one day if lucky because when everything is on one floor, I think it FEELS bigger.
The only time where I would see that getting a HA unit would REALLY be a problem where I might consider asking for a switch instead of just "sucking it up" for that one trip would be a studio unit. It's just too hard not to have a tub to give the girls a bath.
Well, my 2 cents...
