non ribbed tank tops?

I found some at Target today, but they were $9.00

I want to make some matching tank tops for our Disney trip. Too hot for t-shirts!

I need to be able to iron on transfers....Any tips on where to get some budget freindly but quality tanks?

I think you're going to have to choose between budget and quality. For budget I'd go with Walmart. For quality I'd go with Lands' End.

I would get the ones from Target, if they are the single color Mossimo womens tank tops. Sometimes they go on sale. I have about a dozen of those and they are super soft, comfy, and they've lasted quite a while. I double layered them at Disney last summer and they were great.

Have you tried the Old Navy website in their clearance section? Sometimes you can get some great deals on plain t-shirts and tanks.

Try the websites for walmart and target as well...sometimes they have really great clearance prices there too...you can pick up tank tops on the walmart site for 3.00 and they are perfect for iron-on and other designs!

Post photos when you are finished making them! I'd love to see your designs!

Most of the craft stores have cheap tshirts (AC Moore, Michaels, etc). I don't know if they have tanks, but it wouldn't hurt to check. Walmart would also be a good bet.

I do love the tanks, t's, and long sleeved t's I get from Target though...the mossimo brand ones. They wear fantastic and are so comfy. I also love that they don't shrink and are nice and long since I am tall and have a longer torso. I always stock up when they are on sale.

I third or fourth the Mossimo tanks and t's. Good quality for the price!! Honestly I don't think $9 is a bad price either, but that's probably just me!

I ordered t-shirts through Jiffyshirts last year to make matching shirts for out family's trip, and they were very good quality/have held up wonderful.

I ordered the Anvil brand on there, and was very please with the weight/quality of it. I believe ours were 6 oz weight, so if you go with anything around that weight, they should hold up well.
