My parents have been given a free 4 day stay at a Deluxe Resort. They have done the parks thing quite a few times and are thinking about not entering the parks at all for this quick trip. I am helping them make their ADRs and was looking for some recommendations. What are your top 3 restaurants to visit that are not in the parks?

Lots of great stuff outside the parks. Here are my favorites:

Jiko
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Kona Cafe
Wolfgang Puck Cafe

KONA - #1:cool1:  :dance3:

Cape May Cafe

BOMA - Animal Kingdom Lodge - even if you are 'afraid' of new foods, they do have the traditional.....

Most of my favorite restaurants are not in the parks.

California Grill
Artist Point
Jiko
Ohana
Kona
Citricos
House of Blues
Fultons
Ragland Road

The list goes on and on.....

Kona is a favorite of ours for both lunch and dinner.
WCC was fun!
We're going to try Boma soon too.

Which resort are they staying at?

We love Fresh at the Dolphin hotel. The breakfast is very nice.

The tea at the GF is wonderful too.

Good suggestions. They are staying at the Yacht Club (or Beach Club, I forget). I figured a trip to the Yachtsman Steakhouse was in order. Dad loves a good steak.

They will have a vehicle, so getting to other resorts will not be a problem, so I think I will suggest Kona. They have been there in the past and really enjoyed it. Also, mom generally likes 'Ohana. Are the fireworks schedules out for 6 months in advance?? Last time I was on these boards WDW was trying to get them out early for the ADR's etc.

If they do those 3, there is only one left to pick. Is there an italian restaurant in the Swan still?

If they like mediterranean food, Spoodles at the Boardwalk is pretty good & close to YC/BC :)

Yes. They just posted April hours, and I just made our ADR's for the first week of April (180+10 days). Yachtsman and Kona were on our list as well.
