We are going the end of Sept. My current plans are Wet N Wild (1 day) BB and TL (3/4 days) and SeaWorld (1-2 days). We are staying at Windsor Hills for a week. Our girls will be 10 and 7 on the trip.

DH is having a hard time with it because I don't have any "rainy day" plans. I am OK going to water park in the rain - heck, we are going to be wet anyway :rotfl2:

He insists on a backup plan for days with thunder. OK, so if it rains, there might be thunder ..... no swimming ......

Any reviews on WonderWorks? I have read VERY mixed reviews on tripadvisor. It sounds like a lot of the games are broken/run down.

Is the Kennedy Space Center all indoors?

I read somewhere about indoor putt putt, that would kill a few hours.

Any other thoughts other than shopping. My husband and 10 yr old don't enjoy shopping.

Thanks!

Rainy days are a good time to visit the resorts. Plenty to see and do at the Disney hotels. Park at Polynesian (easiest place to park). Browse around there and then hop the monorail to Contemporary and Grand Floridian. Do lunch at one of the hotels. Or head over to Yacht and Beach Club and eat at Beaches and Cream. If you want something non-Disney, Gaylord Palms is neat, too.

I wouldn't expect a lot of rain at the end of September. Usually the weather is OK, but its good to have back up plans.

Orlando Science Center - looks neat - hope to visit on our next trip to the area.
Mini Golf (indoor) at Old Town (if its still there, its been a while since we last went)
Wonderworks*
Ripley's Believe it or not*
KSC is mixed with some of the area indoors and some outside, but I think a good option if its not pouring down.

How about a dinner show (e.g Pirates, Arabian Nights, Medieval Times). Generally food is not great, but just get involved in the action and have a great time. BTW Wonderworks have a Magic Dinner Show (Corny magic for adults, but our kids, who were younger than yours, liked it. We did the dinner show without access to Wonderworks itself.

Disney Quest
Movies (Downtown Disney, Universal both have movie theaters)
How about a show (Blue Man Group is awesome, so is Cirque)

That's all I can think of right now.
