OK, If we go with the non Park-Hopper tickets can we go to each park only once or can we go more than one day in a row for each park? we are getting 7 day tickets. I dont want to get there and only be able to go to the Magic Kingdom one day the whole week!

THANKS!!!:grouphug: :hourglass

Non park hopper just means you choose 1 park for each day. If you want 3 days of MK in that week, that's fine, or even 7 days is fine. You just cannot be at MK and then decide you'd rather be at AK. Once you enter a park for that day that's your park of the day.

You can visit each park as many times as you want during the course of your stay. You are only limited in that you must pick ONE park per day and stay there for that day. Otherwise, you could do MK all week or 3 days or whatever...it's up to you. You just can't decide to start a day at MK and spend that evening in Epcot. :thumbsup2

You may want to reconsider not getting park hoppers.

If you are going during any kind of busy time you will find the park hoppers very good to have. There are times when a particular park is very crowded. This has happened to us numerous times so we just left and hopped over to a less crowded park for the rest of that day.

Believe me, if you get into a park and find it jammed you will be very sorry that you don't have park hoppers.

I never thought of that. Great idea on opting for the park hopper..if it is crowded, we are only there for four days so that is a good idea. I think you comment has resolved my issue. Park hopper it is!

We bought 7 day park hoppers last year for 6 people. We only used the Park Hopper Part ONE time! In our situation it was a waste of the extra money last year.:sad2:

This year, since our visit will be in August again, I've decided to add the Water Park & More option instead of the Park Hopper.

For a little extra $, we'll be able to go to one of the 4 major parks AND one of the water parks in the same day! (I think the water park option will only allow 6 visits for our 7 day passes.) We can try Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon and cool off instead of last year, sweating through the 4 major parks with our park hopper tickets. I think Disney Quest is part of this package too - the 4 males in our family will love that! I think the kids will be very satisfied! :woohoo:

Now if they would only introduce "fast passes" for the long lines at the water parks....

We are going for six days. Some days we hop, some we don't. The cost of a ten day MYW base ticket is less than a 6 day hopper. Can the base ticket be used at more than one park in a single day? Thanks

If your not buying the hopper feature to add onto the base ticket, you will only be able to go to one park per day with the base ticket. The MYW tickets are cheaper the longer your length of stay is. If you stay only a short time, then they can be pricey. If your not sure about hopping, you can always wait until you are at Disney to add that feature. However, they will charge you 100% of the difference between the price of a base ticket and a hopper even if you only have one day left on your passes....so that is something to bear in mind-especially if you buy your tickets ahead of time from a broker-it pretty much voids out the savings you had with the ticket broker.

No.

This is a very commonly-asked question. It just won't work that way because the Great Disney Computer knows all. A 6-day base ticket is good for 6 days of theme park admissions, not for 6 theme park admissions.

If you used your ticket at Magic Kingdom in the morning and tried to enter Epcot that night, the turnstile won't unlock; the CM greeter on the other side will get a read-out on their display informing him/her as to why you are being denied admission.

Sorry.:confused3

we've had about 9 trips, and have hardly ever hopped. and the couple of times we did, it would have been totally fine if we didn't (we only did because we had ap's). last trip we didn't have ap's and i bought myw w/out hoppers and never once thought 'i wish we could hop today'... but that's how we vacation. DH isn't very go-go-go, so 1 park a day is totally enough for us anyway. if you're going for 7 days, i think that's enough days to not have to hop. if someone were going for 4 or less days and were going to try to see and do as much as possible, i'd say go for the hoppers. but w/ 7 days, you can pre-plan your days as best as possible for crowd levels - there are a few sites and books you can use. i'd use the money elsewhere.

it really depends on your vacation style. we like doing 1 park a day, even if we take a break and go back for naps or swimming or dinner, we'll go back to the same park for the evening.

Another option is to stick with the base ticket and then add the hopper if/when you need it. It costs the same either way but if you don't end up hopping you won't have paid for something you didn't use.

If on day 3 MK is crowded and you want to hop to Epcot simply stop at guest relations and add the hopper option!

No - the pass is X# of days not X3 of park admissions, one park per day unless you have the park hopper.

We had no problems with using those tickets on our 2007 trip, we just simply chose which park we wanted to go to and that was our park for the day. We ended up visiting MK 3 days, AK 1 day, and both E & MGM 2 days each. We are coming back in 2008 and buying the same type, not park hopper. One thought for you to ponder/ask others their opinions on... as it was our first trip I looked at the WDW website, found extended hours for our trip duration, and planned park days according to extended hours. While this worked and did give us extended hours, I think the parks seemed "heavy" for the time of year we were there (I know there was quite a line for bands). Next year, we are not going to parks based on extended hours... and we are going to see if there are less people. My thought is that many people use "my theory"! :) Have a wonderful time!

When you went to the parks that had extended hours, were they busy only during mid-day? Or were they also busy in the early morning and even into the late evening?

Hi! :goodvibes We found them busier in the evening as well (the mornings not so much)! We were there during "free dining" so maybe that added to "busy factor", I am not sure. I just know that (as we bounced back for free dining next September) we are NOT using the EEH calendar to make our itenerary! :upsidedow

One advantage to sticking to the base ticket - Stock up on fastpasses all day, take an afternoon break, and ride all evening on fastpasses. Makes for a great night at the park. Janice

How do you stock up on fast passes and ensure that all your ride times are at night? Especially when you have to wait until the first fast pass start time before you can get another one for a different ride? Did they change something in the last month with Fastpass or do you have an insider way to bypass the system? Just curious...I'd love to be able to do what you described.

I like this idea! We don't buy the park hoppers.

We go at opening, and have not had to use fastpass, but we collect for the big attractions. When the next time opens for us, we get more and use them at night. They have never stopped us from using them in the evening, and we've had some with return times at 10:00 am and have used them at 7:00pm, without any problems. It's a great way to tour at night and some of the major rides are the best seen at night. Janice

Okay, so your still spending the bulk of your day in that park anyway collecting the fast passes (and enjoying the attractions). We have park ADD in my family and we never end the day in the same place we started out. If I could swoop into the park and gather fast passes in like an hour and then leave to come back later, that would interest me.
