So we have a long trip planned at WDW (thats the good news), however, the bad news is that our 10 day tickets cover only (thats right!) 10 days. Even with the PHP+ I believe we will have 4 extra days for waterparks mini-golf etc, which will provide activities for 14 days if I am not mistaken. HOWEVER, We will be there even MORE than 14 days (actually 19!). Naturally there is always the resort pool, shopping etc, but I was hoping for some boating activities.

When I researched the prices I was shocked; fireworks cruises are REALLY expensive (and there are 6 of us); the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage looked especially great for my little ones, but the cost will literally bust our budget. Anyone know the prices for some cheaper boat rentals at a reasonable price? Bear in mind it will be mid summer & we will have 2 elderly grandparents so 'peddling boats' in the heat of Orlando's summer is probably NOT a good option (unless there is a great steady breeze!).

Fireworks cruises are expensive, but have you considered just renting boats as an afternoon resort activity? We have rented the tiny mouse boats (2 seaters) at WL for an hour or so and theyre not that expensive. Could also upgrade and do a pontoon boat and leisurely cruise seven seas lagoon and then cap it off with lunch/dinner at one of the MK resorts? These are some of our best memories from when I was in HS!

Thx for the idea, but how much are the Mouse boats for EACH? Remember I assume we would need 3 boats for 6 folks (M, D, Granny & Grandpa, a 4 yr old and 5 yr old)!

I didn't find the fireworks cruises to be that expensive. You mention there are 6 of you - do you know the fireworks cruises are per BOAT, not per PERSON? We are taking one on our trip. It's $371 after tax for up to 10 people. Just wanted to make sure you knew it wasn't per person.

Also, there is a thread somewhere on here where you can post to split a cruise. So if there are 6 of you, maybe there is a family of 4 that would want to split the cruise cost with you.

There are also quite a few activities at Fort Wilderness. Bike rentals, horse back riding, surrey rentals, etc. Again, not cheap, but worth looking in to.

I considered that but 2 problems 1: while $371 isn't too bad for 10 people, there are only 4 adults & 2 tots, so unless we can find a family of 4 to split costs, it is a bit of a waste of money - so 371 for 4 A & 2 kids for 2 hours is a bit steep. 2: The fireworks in summertime start pretty late and my kids are very small, I'm not sure they could stay up much past 9 pm (remember not only until AFTER the fireworks end, but then there is the ride back to the resort with lots of crowds, so it will be way after their bedtime I think).
