I remember reading where as a member, that certain purchases can apply the DVC discount to non-members if other family members live in your same house hold.

DS and family sold house and are moving back in by our fall trip.

Can someone provide the link or information regarding this? Do the other family members have to show any kind of ID ?

You can buy certain things at a discount for family members in your household. They can't get the discounts themselves unless they are deeded owners with a member ID.

Agree. They will not be members unless they are on the deed. But, you can purchase them discounted annual passes as long as they have an ID with the same address as you and they can get discounts on shopping and dining as long as they are with you.

You can purchase AP's at the DVC discount price for any members of your household and thus you could buy those, but you need to be at WDW to show DVC member card to pick them up and activate them. Thereafter, they can use the passes without you present. Maybe some others can think of some, but currently I cannot think of anything else where they can get a discount without you being involved and present to show a DVC member card. You can get them the dining plan if they go to WDW using your points and you do not have to be present for them to use it, but that was true even while they lived elsewhere. Other discounts either apply to the member only or the member and his guests who are with him, which can include even those not living with you but require you to be there to be able to show member card and ID.

Immediate family members (father, mother, spouse, children) and they must have an id that matches your address or some other proof that they live at your same address to get the AP's and you will have to be there. We did this for my mother when she had moved in with us.

The list was pretty broad including semi related family members IIRC but it did require they live in the same household as a member.
