Non-DVC member looking to rent this Dec.

I am not a DVC member & have never "rented" points before. But I am looking to try this out for Dec.31, 2004-Jan. 4, 2005. I know it is a long shot, but I figured I would ask anyways. I am interested in a studio anywhere in WDW. In the meantime, I am educating myself in the FAQ's. Thanks!!
